We used Tesco vouchers for entry, it is a rip off at gate prices. We went with our two children 6 and 4. The day we were there was nice and sunny and there were things going on to launch the interactive rock pool feature.
There was quite a lot of building work going on which made the place seem like a building site in places.
We didn't use the splash area as the weather was still a bit cool for that but some children were in the water - it looked quite good! The play area was very poor, not much there, litter not cleared, grass needed cutting so didn't stay there long.
The exhibits were interesting but we found it difficult as our youngest has specail needs and uses a buggy and it was not easy for him to see a lot of things which was a shame. The rock pool which has been highly promoted was very disappointing, the staff member on duty there didn't even manage to make eye contact let alone talkto us.
The children enjoyed the afternoon and went on some of the rides but I left feeling that it just didn't live up to it's advertising - other Merlin attractions we have visited are better in my opinion.
