Waterside Holiday Park & Spa

Just got back from a week long break at Waterside and could not fault it. Excellent Caravan lovely and clean with plenty of room and the welcome pack was a nice touch. The camp facilities were spot on we found the club at night a great mix of kids adult and general family entertainment. Food was great and standard holiday park prices and we found the spar had some great offers for the little bits you needed. The sports bar was lovely and well kept and the bar staff were excellent and very friendly they really could not do enough to help. The security guards were keen on and very friendly and the bus stopping in the actual camp was an added bonus to get us to Weymouth. As im currently 7 months pregnant I will certainly be returning in the future with our extended family.

We have been travelling to Waterside for the past couple of years and have booked for this year again in July. We have a young toddler and now a baby.....the toddler was just 1 1/2 yrs old last year and had a fab time.
The caravans are great, clean, everything you need.
The swimming pool is good, a baby/toddler pool with slide, another toddler pool and then a larger pool for adults and bigger children. There is a tube slide and a waterfall type slide.
The arcade is small but I think suitable for the size of the park, and we have enjoyed our time in there. Its great they now have a soft play area, as all kids love these and an area for adults to watch over the children playing in there which is located right next to the sports bar there is also an outside okay area for kids which is great.
The entertainment is great for kids, boomer is a favourite of my little boy now and he can't wait to see him again this year.
There is a funfair next to the entertainment area and obviously this goes down well with the kids.
All in all we absolutely love this place and will hopefully continue to make this our yearly family holiday in huge UK.
The only thing where maybe there could be improvement is the beach is not very nice, this could do with some attention so instead of having to walk into Weymouth for a nice beach people could use this instead. Although saying that the walk to weymouth centre for the beach, shops etc isn't that bad, and is a nice walk. And you can always catch the bus into town too.
Maybe having a play area on grassland would be good.
We would definitely recommend this as a great place to visit, and we just love weymouth.

We have just returned from a week at Waterside for half term and had a fantastic time. Our caravan was clean and tidy and well equipped and very close to all the amenities (we asked for this when we booked in October). The park itself is well maintained, clean and tidy. I don't think I saw any rubbish on the park at all.

We found the evening entertainment excellent for the children and unlike some reviews I have read we think it's great that the kids entertainment is now in the main venue instead of everyone being crammed into the smaller venue that it used to be in. My only gripe is that some of the "entertainment" for the kids dragged on, such as "guess what chocolate bar I have in my bag" which went on and on and on only for the winning child to win a 20p Chomp bar! My little ones loved it all though and fell in love with Boomer the kangaroo.

Adult entertainment was also very good with games such as video horse racing which was a laugh and some great bands. They had 2 comedians whilst we were there, Paul Eastwood and Dame Lucy Bunn. It is hard to do comedy in a room full of kids but Paul Eastwood was spot on, very funny, the same couldn't be said for Dame Lucy Bunn who was so old fashioned even Jimmy Tarbuck would be cringing, that was the only night we left early. As with al these parks bingo starts the night but they do provide colouring for the kids to do while this is going on which was a great idea, and to be fair the bingo prizes are pretty good at Waterside!

The bar wasn't overpriced and the main restaurant while a little pricey produced tasty food that could be taken into the venue to eat while watching the shows. The takeaway also made the best chips I have ever tasted always warm and fresh.

I did have one complaint and this is a warning for all who like to eat in the venues. Waterside has a no takeaway policy in the venue before 9.30pm. You will be hard pressed to find this "rule" written down anywhere (because it isn't). I purchased chips at 9.10pm and was refused entry to the venue with them. The security guard explained the rule, I complained to reception and to be fair they refunded me in full. I had a call from the manager with an apology but he told me he didn't like "takeaway food" in the venue. This is fine BUT how are we supposed to know this if there are no notices anywhere - it also seemed a bit "snobby" if I am honest.

Waterside also offer great discounts on the Sealife Centre in Weymouth so if you are going there book through reception, it will save a family of 4 the best part of £50.

Overall a great holiday with friendly staff and a fantastic atmosphere throughout. We will be going back as soon as we can!

Stopped for the second time at Waterside for a 5 day break, again it was a wonderful holiday. Park is wonderfully clean and tidy. nightly entertainment is good having some great acts. Caravan was new, clean and tidy. only downside was the caravan was right next to some tall trees full of crows!!! Noisy early morning call and car was dive bombed!! Overall a great break was had and will certainly be returning.

Just returned from a fortnight break at Waterside. We had a Rio Gold 3 bed caravan. The caravan was very clean and you had everything in it you needed. Every caravan now has a tarmac pull in right next door to the caravan, so no more muddy floors. Staff very friendly.
Restaurant did a very good Carvery. Shop on site was a Spar and prices were not as expensive as I thought they would be. Did not use club or pool so cannot comment on them.

Just got home from a week a waterside & have to say it was excellent! Kids absolutely love it there, especially the pool with its fun slides, the indoor & outdoor play areas & being so close to the beach. Reasonable prices on food and drink toowhich makes it easier on the pocket. Overall a fantastic holiday, booking again for next year :-)

We have been every year for last eight years with our grandchildren, They are now getting to between 6 and 12 (4 Children) however there used to be good night time entertainment for them alas 2013 when we went saw the loss of John as the kids champion, this man was suitable for all the age groups but this time the older ones got very bored and all missed John. The change of the kids venue was a terrible loss! The older guests without kids moaned about the entertainment venue being full of little ones, and of course the adults with children had to leave early. It saved the parents money as they returned to their vans for drinks, but that was lost revenue for the club. Why change that which worked Graham? Why also is there still no sports facilities (apart from swimming ) for the older kids, We used to take our own four children to Chesil Beach in the Seventies and eighties where they had football (by professional footballers) , -windsurfing at sea, Swimming lessons with an Olympic swimmer,(When that stopped the site went down for holidaymakers) ok maybe that is now too expensive now but surely you could do Archery, cricket or football with non pros, arrange games like shuffleboard or boules or maybe miniten, it doesn't take a genius to improve the situation. If the older kids keep coming to Waterside then they will want to bring their future families there in years to come, the latest comments on line are making us think twice about coming again this year, Can the management tell us what has changed to improve things and make us keep coming. We all made loads of friends there coming back year after year, if there is nothing to come back for because everything has got worse then that is how sites fail.
