We have just returned from the waterside. We cannot fault the caravans and the park surroundings. The restaurant is also well worth a visit especially the home made dishes. The only fault we had was the poor quality entertainment which finishes quite early for adults. After that you are subjected to the site entertainment staff singing. Not good. Why not have a group or a disco which plays on for another hour or two so people without children can then enjoy themselves. We have seen rang a tang but always seem to miss them
Apart from that great holiday on a great park.

A great break, some people would think predictability is a bad thing, but I don't. I know exactly what I am going to get so I get no worries about what the van is going to be like or how the kids are going to be entertained.

They also host our favourite band Rang-a-Tang and we make a point of booking a van when they are on.

We spend the day on the beach, then go be entertained at the venue. Perfect stress free holiday.

We have just spent a week at Waterside and we loved it! We found the park very peaceful, the caravans very clean with a lovely balcony. All of our linen was there on arrival. There is lots to do - my sons are 1 & 4 and they both loved the soft play area, which has sofas and seating areas around so parents can relax with a coffee or food from the sports bar. The swimming pool was amazing with two big slides and a small whale slide for the little ones in a separate pool. There is also a seperate toddler pool and a lovely heated outside pool. All very clean! There is an outside play park which my 4 year old loved, a fun fair opposite which is cheap and also has their own soft play. Both my sons enjoyed the kids entertainment and I have to say that Chloe and Josh were amazing and they put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into keeping the kids entertained - all the kids loved them and Boomer was on stage a lot. One evening they had a magician/clown which was great as it offered a variety. The kids club was finished by 7:30 which was perfect for us having a baby.... We did not stay for the adult entertainment as there was always bingo on after the kids club and mine were exhausted after dancing !!
The food in the restaurant, sports bar and the take away was very very nice.
All of the staff at waterside were
friendly, helpful and professional !
My only negative was that we paid for a Provence caravan - this was in the orange section and quite far away from the main building. I was expecting a luxury caravan but it was very bog standard and probably not much different to the other caravans on site. Whilst very clean and comfortable I think the caravan decor needs to be updated to reflect the standard of the rest of the park.
All in all We had a great holiday here and will be back next year!

We've just come back from our third family summer holiday in a row at Waterside and really enjoyed it once again. Weather was good which obviously helps!

Plus side:
- Price, we got 25% on a special offer, will look out for this again
- Location, has its own stony beach and only a short drive to main Weymouth beach
- Clean and modern caravans
- Great Sports Bar
- Great indoor swimming pool with slide and heated outdoor pool
- Great Indoor soft play for kids
- Great outdoor adventure play for kids

Down side:
- Caravans are packed in like sardines which is OK as long as you have decent neighbours.
On the last night some undesirables started their holiday in the caravan next door and kept us awake until 1am with loud drunken conversations. This happened the entire week the first year we were there.
- Evening entertainment is pretty middle of the road, but I don't think you can expect much better with this type of holiday.
- Kids entertainment seemed a little lacklustre, certainly not appreciated by our three year olds. Maybe better for older kids?

In summary I would recommend for a family like us with young children as there is lots to do. Will almost certainly be going again in 2015. Probably wouldn't be our first choice if it was just the two of us though.

This was our first taste of a holiday park so had no idea what to expect of the accomadation. We travelled with a 6 and 11 year old. This park is fantastic. From the moment we arrived it was obvious that it was kept spotless. The mobile home was beyond our expectations and we where glad we availed of the offer of an extra night. The home consisted of two bedrooms with one an en suite. It was so clean and in an area of the park that was so quiet. We stayed in the Green Park. The pool is brillant my kids and hubby had great fun each evening. We tried the restaurant twice. On our first night we ordered 3 different curries and each came as good as the next. The entertainment is great for families and just finishes at a nice time for bed (10.15) but you can stay on for more beers.I cannot recommend this park enough. It has been one of our best holidays .

Room Tip: the green park lovely and quiet

Our second visit to Waterside, with our 3 year old. Such a great place - caravan clean and nicely furnished, the site itself was very clean, very peaceful. Great facilities - the swimming pools were fantastic, and our little boy grew in confidence in the water over the week. The soft play and coffee bar was good, and the evening entertainment was great - we mainly visited the kids disco and games. Most of the games were a bit over our little boys' head given his age, but the older (5+) kids seemed well amused and our little boy has come back and started pretending he's a presenter on the stage!

Only gripes - the quality of the bedding leaves a lot to be desired. Another time I'd probably bring my own. Not dirty, but not pretty, and feels very poor quality, very stiff and starchy.

We stayed in blue zone, close to the swimming pool, and against the back hedge, and this gave us extra privacy and made our stay more peaceful compared to the previous year.

Sealife centre was great, so was corfe castle and the steam railway. The little fairground opposite was cheap and great for younger kids, and the beachside café was basic, but decent.

We hope to go back! Before having kids we used to prefer more exotic places and expensive hotels, but I can honestly say that this sort of holiday was just as enjoyable and a great experience, mainly because it caters so well for families, and because it's just perfect for spending some chilled out quality time together as a family.
