I stayed here with a friend for one night over the Olympics as we were down for the sailing. It was lovely with the most friendly couple running the place! Simple, clean and tidy with comfy beds and one of the best home cooked full english breakfasts I have had in ages! They really value their guets at the Bedford and will do what they can to make your stay comfortable. Would take this over a hotel chain any day and will be going back the next time in down in Weymouth!

We stayed at the Bedford either side of a day trip to the Channel Islands. The Bedford is in a perfect position right next to the port and opposite the beach. We walked from the station which took a comfortable 10 minutes. Weymouth pubs are brilliant and nothing beats fish and chips on the harbour side with a pint of beer. The Bedford is a very welcoming guest house and we had a lovely 2 night stay there. No fuss, no nonsense, clean rooms, a fab position, and a lovely breakfast. If you are going to Weymouth (and if you haven't you must) this is the place to stay but be warned it's obviously popular so book early.

This was a last minute booking to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I was on the phone/internet constantly for two days trying to find a double room in Weymouth. The Bedford was the last one I was going to try before giving up and hey presto they had 1 room free!

The landlady was very nice on the phone, unlike a lot of the others I'd spoken to who had been very short with me. She was very honest upfront in saying that the room was at the top of the house so there was lots of steps and because it was at the top meant it was small. I would not normally have gone for a room with lots of stairs as I have undergone a few knee operations which makes stair climbing painful, but I was so desperate I booked it.

When we arrived I was expecting the worse but the room was lovely, small yes, but lovely with a fantastic view over the beach and a small but adequate en-suite. The bed was very comfy and the room clean.

The staff at breakfast were great they couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

I'd never stayed in Weymouth before and was very impressed by the variety of things to do and see. Weymouth would suit couples and family's alike as well as stag and hen parties. I particularly liked the Harbour area.
