Really lovely hotel. Good views from dining room. Delicious breakfast . Brilliant walks along promenade, seashore & coastal paths, ( useful AFTER breakfast! ). A few of minutes walk to restaurants, shops, harbour & local RSPB nature reserve's. Close to Portland Bill & Fleet. Railway station just a short walk away, ideal if you don't need to bring car. Historical seaside resort that has retained it's architectural heritage. You made very welcome by the staff. Ideal for short stays.

We just stayed one night here as we were in weymouth for a family birthday and we booked 2 double rooms and a single, all of which were pleasant. It was only and extra £10 for the sea view and balcony and very worthwhile. Access to the balcony via the large, walk through sash windows was fine but i would not recommend these rooms for children. The locks on these windows did not operate very well either so security could be an issue. My husband is origionally from weymouth and we visit relatives regularly but this is the first time he had stayed on the sea front in a hotel. He enjoyed seeing the town from a new perspective. The decor is simple but cheery. The curtains were a bit of a problem in our room and difficult to open and close, mainly due to the high ceiling but it did not deter from an enjoyable stay. The guest house is traditional by nature but modernised within. Charlotte and her team were friendly and welcoming and were accomodating to our need to return at unsocial hours. Its location is perfect for the beach, town and station. On street parking can be busy though we were lucky to find a space right beside the hotel, but the long stay car park is only a short distance away.

Room Tip: balcony rooms are worth the little extra if you don't have children...they also have better en suites. rooms at the back really dont have a view atall.

We stayed here for a week in May 2012, we had a really nice holiday, this bed and breakfast is in a great location on the sea front, our room overlooked the sea and had lovely views. The room and decor was nice and up to date and not pre-war which is what you usually get when you stay in Britain. All the staff were really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We visited monkey world which is well worth a look and good value. The breakfast was great with a good choice of cooked breakfast, cereal, fruit, toast and lovely home made jam. Will definitely be back, hopefully soon.

Room Tip: Room 6 is really cosy and overlooks the sea

Stayed here over Easter and we specifically booked a superior sea facing room, we were not disappointed! The best rooms are numbers 5 and 6, ours was the latter with a nifty rain forest shower and a balcony over looking the beach.

These rooms are are far superior to the others and would recommend the extra cost. If all the rooms were this standard it would score very highly I imagine and be pricier.

We were met by Angela who was very welcoming and a source of information about Weymouth.

As other reviews said, parking in the whole of Weymouth, especially on the seafront can be a challenge. The hotel provided a space of us round the rear of the property so we didn't have any problems.

Breakfast was ok, nothing special but fine. Some parts of the hotel could do with a refresh and looked a bit tired but value for money it was very good. I'd stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view and balcony for the best and slightly pricier rooms.
