Second stay at the Cornubia visiting my son for the weekend and it’s still exactly what you want from a b&b. If you’ve read my previous review this will be remarkably similar, but that’s because nothing has changed, which is great in an age where complacency in being a leading b&b could lead to a drop in standards. Certainly not here. Welcoming hosts and most importantly clean bright accommodation. Our room was the same as last time, see photo, perfect for us although we were told that it was the smallest room so I wouldn’t go by just this photo if you think you’d prefer something larger. As always, clean, well decorated complimented by crisp new bedding. The ensuite bathroom wasn’t large but perfectly fine and, surprising for some UK B&B’s, equipped with the necessary toiletries. It is situated only 100 metres from the Esplanade, about 10 minutes walk to the harbour restaurants and bars. Parking is provided with an on street parking permit and a space was easily found just around the corner. With an excellent home cooked full English breakfast in the morning, it all adds up to the opening statement, exactly what you need.

We are regular visitors to Weymouth and have stayed in many B&B's and Hotels in the area. This is the first one that we would recommend and also return to for future visits. Whilst we forfeited a sea view, our room was excellent (clean, well fitted and with a large en-suite). We were received at the door by both Linda and Alan who helped unload the car and provided a rare 24 hour parking pass. The decoration inside and out is fresh and new. Rooms have been renovated to a high standard, mostly by Alan himself (former plumber). All the old bathrooms and heating systems have been replaced with modern systems - no noisy WC pump / macrators for a change! We stayed in room 1, the en-suite stretched the width of the room with plenty of space to shower etc. As I am 6'2" tall and 16 stone this was greatly appreciated. The bedrooms have been designed for space and comfort rather than squeezing in additional clients in more smaller rooms. Breakfast was also excellent with good choice of cereals, fruit juice etc and quality sausages and bacon, fresh fried eggs (not broken or rubbery) - often a failing of most B&B's. A good level of attention (not too much and not too little) from Linda and Alan whilst serving. Although we know the area well, Linda and Alan had good local knowledge. We enjoyed our stay and will try and book here again for our next visit.

Room Tip: I understand that all rooms are fitted and decorated to a high standard. Some have twin beds others...

Stayed for 2 nights beginning May. Linda and Alan were great, very friendly and nothing too much trouble. We were in Room 1, superior double, which was spotless, modern and spacious. Location was good, beach literally at the top of the road. Breakfast was excellent, great sausages, but you could have virtually anything! Set you right up for the day. This is a wonderful B&B which is excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay in Cornubia guest house. Exceeded our expectations of what guest house can offer. Room ideally clean, fresh and nicely decorated, had everything we could possibly need. Linda and Alan are very very friendly and helpful hosts. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful.
Overall 10/10. We would recommend this guest house to anyone staying in the Weymouth area. Definitely coming back if visiting to Weymouth.

Excellent all round. Would recommend.
Good Location. Friendly family business. Could not do enough for us. They had good local knowledge and knew what previous visitors had enjoyed. Near the beach but not in a noisy environment. Parking good once it was explained.

We have just spent another break at weymouth staying at the Cornubia Guest House run by Alan and Linda Potter, we were made very welcome on arrival. The room was spotless and very comfortable, everything we needed in the room. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and everything sourced locally. The Guest House is only 50 yards from the seafront in a nice, quiet side street. We were celebrating my birthday and Alan and Linda made it feel very special even giving me a card and present. When I booked this they had remembered that it was my birthday as this was the second time we hade visited them to celebrate my birthday.

Room Tip: Both times the room we stayed in were lovely.

On arrival we had a warm welcome by the owners, Linda & Alan Potter, with easy access from the train station and under a minute walkaway from the sea front, it is an ideal place for a relaxing quiet stay.

On being taken up to the room, we found it to be cleaned to a very high standard with excellent decor and amazing bathroom suite, with fancy slow closing toilet lid! Whilst staying the room was cleaned daily to a high standard, catering us with any information or needs for great spots to visit and eat in the local area.

Whilst on the subject of food, the breakfast gave us a great deal of choice from healthy to a hearty breakfast, including fantastic tasting Sausages. You cannot describe a good sausage until you have tried their breakfast.

Alan and Linda were fantastic hosts that catered to all needs, whilst giving you balance of privacy during the whole of your stay. For a younger couple to stay in this B&B can open your eyes to how great it can be compared to other chain hotels.

Perfect
