“A little bit of Monet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014

Would have been better if the sun was out, but enjoyed walking round these peaceful gardens - you wouldn't think you were just next to a really busy road. Food in café Monet was very enjoyable too.

“Tea rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Nice modern tearooms, nice scones also other food, nice and relaxing, didn't visit water garden bit. Looked good from where we were sitting outside. No fee for eating in restaurant, great if you just want a cream tea or simple lunch.

“Overpriced”

Unless you are a real water lily fanatic (there must be some) I would give the place a miss. Really not worth the amount they charge for admission.

“Bennett's Water Gardens Dorset”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

We were very disappointed in this place , on the small tourist Map it looks very near Chesill beach and walkable ,but it is a bus ride from Weymouth and then a walk. Apart from the first two lakes full of water Lillie's and one smartly painted Gazebo there is nothing else other than many more smaller and one large roach pond((not a roach in sight because of weeds) the ponds are full of weeds and one almost stagnant with a dead tree in it. There were two other Gazebos which were rotten and falling apart! The whole place needs attention it was very sad, and a case of " seen one lily pond seen them all" as there were no other attractions apart from a Monet Look a like bridge and one other red one.. This would all have been acceptable at £3.50 but at £8.25 each at the senior rate we thought it very expensive. They also had a tropical house which had a gold fish pond in it and a large cactus and not much else! This was about twelve paces and you were through it!,
If you are in Weymouth or the lovely Jurassic Coast area give this one a miss, and take your self to The Sub Tropical Gardens , now that is an amazing Place and worth every penny.
A review on that too.
