“enjoy the view”

We have stopped off at the Greenhill Beach Cafe on several occasions for morning tea and coffee. Nice cuppa, no fuss and the view is amazing.
Dont forget to play crazy golf whilst you are in the area.

“Perfect for a light lunch or an afternoon snack”
Reviewed 7 October 2010

Didn't really expect too much as we were walking back from centre of Weymouth to where we had parked, but the very seaside resortish beach cafe sign pointing up a flight of shady stairs seemed about the last chance of a quick eat before the two hour drive home. However, rounding the stairs we found a tidy cafe tugged in on the first floor of the beach huts. Marks for atmosphere is mostly down to the splendid view of the sea, as the cafe itself is just the counter area at the entrance with a row of tables stretching back along the windows. Weather permitting, there are a few tables outside, where you can also sneak a peak at players slugging it out at the next door bowling club.
What really makes this place is the food. The selection is good for a place branding itself as a beach cafe, and the quality a mark or two above what I'd expected. Evidently not gourmet level, but for the food they serve well on par with a decent pub. I had a toasted sandwich, well prepared and on some rather good bread, with chips that were nice and crisp (I had an hour earlier reneged on a planned fish and chips meal when observing the mushy mass they were passing as the chips) and just about perfect. My wife had a delicious piece of apple pie, with two healthy scoops of Marshfield ice cream. All in all, nothing fancy, just really well executed for a lite bite venue on a seaside promenade. Staff was very friendly and efficient.
