“Location ideal for both beach and town centre.”

We choose this rental due to it's location as we had the grandchildren with us and they would be able to use the beach without car journeys.
We pre ordered the linen and that was all sorted prior to our arrival. All the amenities were functional apart from the shower head rail which fell off the wall on first use. I reported this direct to the owner, who to his credit had a repair done the next day. The owner of the next door property was very friendly and gave us good advice on local eating houses and places to visit etc.
All in all we had a good week. My only regret was that we did not take our bikes with us. The bungalow is right on the promenade and you can cycle all the way to the town centre. We did walk (40 mins) or took the local bus which runs a twice hourly service to the town centre.

Dear Holidaymaker, Thank you for your surprise review, your 5 star rating and willingness to recommend Paradise Villa to your friends. The Cleaners you praised, reported no complaints from you when they attended the property at the beginning and the end of your holiday. As the Owner, Paradise Villa is my second home. However, one can normally expect one negative reviewer a year. whilst I have personally received many positive comments from holidaymakers during their stays at the property. Paradise Villa has been let to hundreds of satisfied holidaymakers since 1999 and is regularly maintained and cleaned throughout the year. I have noted all the issues raised by this holidaymaker, despite the contradictions. Whilst I dispute the conclusions and assumptions made by the holdaymaker. I would like to take this opportunity to add the following. The Patio doors have since been replaced owing to vandalism on the glass door partitions. Rarely are Property Security Deposits retained by the Agents, and are refunded in full. There is no paraffin smell in the ensuite bathroom or the property. The shower curtains are changed every year. The ensuite bedroom mattress is thick and very comfortable, as sleep is very important when holidaymakers stay. The ensuite bedroom curtains are not 'past it'. Paradise Villa is not externally run down, having been repainted earlier in the year, with the bedroom balcony railings due for repainting. The patio furniture is subject to a Marine environment and not dirty. The ensuite bathroom door will close, if closed properly. The twin bedroom 2 is not crammed and dark, as can be seen from the website photograph. The twin bedroom door can be opened and closed in front of the twin beds. There is ventilation in the upstairs landing toilet, with vents in the entry door and inside loft door. The toilet holder has a small crack in the ceramic fitting and is not broken.
You are invited to look at the other positive reviews of Paradise Villa. You are all very welcome and will not be disappointed. Owner.

“If you want a chill out break, low cost, excellent location go for Paradise Villa”

Stayed at Paradise Villa for 1 week in September, I read the reviews before hand and had a wee bit of doubt about making the booking but I wanted a sea view.
Arrived Sat late afternoon and was pleasantly surprised, please ignore the negative reviews on Trip adviser as Paradise Villa is certainly very clean, very comfortable, all amenities you will require are available, 42 inch wall mounted TV, fantastic location, quiet but a lot of activity going on basically on your door step. King Size bed very comfortable, amazing views from bedroom window, Weymouth is a 25 minute stroll along the esplanade, weather was amazing all week, If I plan a trip to the South coast again I would certainly book this accommodation again.

“Great Location-Poor Accommodation”
Reviewed 24 July 2014 for a stay in September 2012

As far as location goes, you could not do better in this part of Weymouth.
The accommodation however left a lot to be desired and would be far below most peoples expectations of holiday properties in the 21st century. The minimum amount of money has been spent over the years leaving a mish mash of kitchen utensils seemingly acquired at the local car boot sale.
Patio doors and windows are poorly fitted and difficult to use unless you have an understanding of how these things operate, meaning hand written messages are dotted around on how to open/close/lock them. Not very attractive. The soft furnishings were well beyond replacement stage, leaving a generally unkempt, tired air to the interior.
Housekeeping standards could be improved, especially the exterior. With the terrace, which was sadly in need of weeding and attention, and not even a liner for the dustbin situated at the rear.
I would be more than happy to return but only if the property was modernised in keeping with the expectations of holiday makers in 2014, not 1987.

i am sorry you found the accommodation disappointing this year, and sincerely hope it did not distract from your holiday enjoyment.
The property is inspected every year and after each holiday week clean. The property is well equipped and well appointed.
The maximum amount of money is spent updating each year on exterior maintenance and interior furnishings etc. The exterior walls and wood were fully painted only one month before your holiday, whilst a sofa was purchased 2 seasons ago. I am sorry you found the instructions for the sliding, pull to open, or push to close instructions, on the Patio doors confusing, whilst the windows are of the normal standard operation. The black bin bags are now supplied only for the kitchen bin, as the black dustbin liners were often removed on the collection day. Sincerely Owner

“Beautiful location ,property could be better”
Reviewed 27 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Fantastic location almost on beach. Property very tired & could benefit from a lot of TLC. The double glazing needed attention on several windows which meant the view was not able to be enjoyed to its maximum. The kitchen equipment looked as though they were odds & ends someone had thrown out.. The property could be greatly improved with better decor & furnishings & information booklet instead of writing in large black letters on the window frames!

Thank you for your review last year. Paradise Villa has been updated again this year. With a large screen 40" Television, Sofa throws, dining chairs and cushions. Paradise Villa has a luxury thick pile carpet to the stairs and first floor ensuite bedroom overlooking the beach.
The galley kitchen equipment is regularly replaced and updated each year.
In answer to you question regarding the Patio door glazing and frames. The Patio door glazing was replaced to both doors last year. As the double glazing in the Patio doors and windows, is prone to condensation each winter, owing to the harsh marine environment. In reply to your query, concerning the large black letters on the window frames. The large black letters are on the Patio door frames, and are clear instructions to guide and help holidaymakers ensure the pull and push Patio doors, are not unknowingly forced open and closed. Everyone is welcome at Paradise Villa for a memorable holiday overlooking the sea.

This house overlooks the beach by the Oasis cafe and one can watch all the watersports from the comfort of the lounge. It is a fine, luxurious rental with all the home comforts that one would wish, including excellent accomodation, TV, cooker, fridge and washing machine.

From here in Preston, it is but a short trip into Weymouth, Lulworth, Dorchester, Corfe Castle and all the historical sites that this Thomas Hardy country boasts proud. It is very close to Bovington Camp and numerous other exciting sites for the enthisiast to take in.

If one is lucky enough to avail oneself of this rental home, I can confirm a most enjoyable and relaxing holiday away from the stresses of day-to-day life. A most enjoyable experience.
