We have just returned after spending a week at this site, place lovely and clean. We used the showers in the old block, we never had to wait and water always warm. Pool was lovely and my children used daily. Staff were never rude and can't say I ever seen or heard otherwise(as per previous comments). Campsite was nice and quiet after 11pm so we all got a good nights sleep. We would return to this campsite but may pitch tent off the road as scooters up and down all day on the road was a bit noisy as was pitched near the bend. Fab campsite and will be returning next year.

Site was quiet when we went in June with our Motorhome and we were given a top notch pitch - near all facilities in the first pitch before the no dog camping notice (we had our dog with us). Staff courteous, the beautifully kept pool all to ourselves (the few young lads there had been and gone) and we had a reasonable meal on the second night in the club house which was a few minutes walk to the next site (can't remember the name of it). Had nice chat to the guy behind the bar. That particular club house could be doing with a bit of sprucing up though and he did say that they were thinking of closing it and making it into rental accommodation as not enough people use it. Pity, as is a handy eating place (beautiful beef) when you don't fancy cooking! All in all, we thought that it was an excellent site and would go there again.

We have just returned from holidays here and had a lovely time. The site is kept to very high standards, yes the showers can get busy but the site was full being the summer holidays so what do some other reviewers expect. The play park is great fir little ones, and I was impressed with the swimming pool. Very clean and water quality was fantastic considering the volume of people it would take in a day. We had no issues with noise at night as ourselves and camping neighbours were all courteous of each other. I never saw a man with a torch going about, but then gave him no reason to bother us so thats probably why.
I really cannot understand some of the excessively negative reviews and am so glad we ignored them and tried the site as will return next year now we've discovered it. Fab site :)

West fleet farm, spent 4 nights there, pitch size was good, showers and tiolets spotless, though need to install more for the amount of space and pitches available, now for the 'review' staff were totally rude, arrogant and unhelpfull, from arrival to departure, you can pitch there ,there and there, but not there if we deem it wrong! Why have an 11 pm curfew then allow people to roam around making a noise at 5 am? Pool was full of unsupervised kids, and to many rules, if they want the rules adhered to, then put a life guard on duty, not send a shop assistant with gradures of premiership reffereeing ambitions, in the club house on the first night, 2 identical rounds,2 different prices? Gas refill £25,00 friday, £28.00 saturday? Would strongly advise that if you like being ignored, grunted at, snorted at, or like confused maths and more rules than school, then please feel free, as for us, as a group of 10, i think we will shop about before returning to weymouth,

West Fleet Holiday Farm is a very popular camping park for families with children, especially during the main school holidays. Customers are given very clear instructions on where to pitch on arrival, so as to avoid confusion and to ensure that customers who have only paid for a standard, unallocated pitch, do not block or pitch on pitches that have been reserved for customers who have booked an electric hook-up. During peak season most or all electric hook-ups will be occupied and so to avoid inconveniencing other guests (and to avoid people having to move their tents) staff make clear which areas are available to pitch on and which are not.

We have received no other complaints about noise at night nor have the staff who regularly patrol the park throughout the night reported any - indeed both staff and other customers have commented on how quiet and peaceful the park is at night.

The pool is a popular facility and is a parental supervision area, however, where parents do not ensure their children behave in a safe and considerate manner staff may need to remind them of the rules (which are there to prevent injuries to all pool users). Where customers of any age repeatedly ignore these they will be required to leave the pool area. Likewise children who try to enter the pool without adult supervision.

Thanks again for you comments. Camping is a diverse market and no doubt you will find one better suited to your particular needs, which, from your review, seems to be a park with far fewer rules but, ironically, much tighter enforcement of them! Umm, indeed!?!?

We have been camping for 35 years and have visited many many sites and this site is one of the very very best! There were 26 of us camped in several areas and none of us saw any problems!
The staff were lovely and even personally delivered our papers and a personal letter to our caravan!!!!! We too were very nervous as one of my daughters has 3 year old twins and we had read the reviews but OMG it was amazing!!!!! Yes lots of rules.......... do not bomb in the pool..... noise stop at 11pm........5 mph car travelling......... quiet exit from the clubhouse......... no bbq in tents........ common sence!!!!!!!!!! NEVER had a cold shower!!!!!! SO give them a chance!!!!! WE LOVED IT and have booked for next year!!!!!!!

Interesting start to the day. ..thought we would pop down the barn for breakfast...(£17.00 for 2) .08.40am ordered food 09.45 still waiting lady brings food out to a table that arrive a mere 20 mins ago so I politely enquired and I quote "is the food for table 26 on the go?" the reply I got way astonishing. ..A full blown scream across a crowded room shouting at me again I quote "how dare you put pressure on us staff that are busy you have 2 choices either shut up and wait ! Or get your money back...!" I was Stunned for a minute or 2 I have to say..so I went to get my money back...and tell the lady that I will not be spoken to in this manner and I merely enquired as I had been waiting well over an hour and saw others arrive after me who had their food...just in case they had lost the order or something. ...off she goes again this time spitting with rage she gets right in my face at full volume.....guess who she was......The OWNER !!!!! Incredible customer service skills well done we will be sure to share our story and guess what..
We Won't be back

Thanks for your comments. We certainly have no reports of a fight, so your heading is, at very least, deliberately hyperbolic. As the park owner is male rather than female, the body of your review is also factually incorrect. The most expensive breakfast currently on the menu is £6.50 per person - although extras are available - but there are cheaper breakfasts too.

All meals are made to order and served as they become ready. Inevitably it may not always be the case that the order in which meals are served coincides with the order in which the orders were placed - more complicated orders, which are not standard items, may take longer to be served, for example, compared to those which are on the set menu.

The site tself wasn't too bad - but the staff were unpleasant. Some pitchrs right next to bins and toilet block, luckily not ours. Toilets clean mostly. showers not great. if you're after a pool, it's ok - heated and great showers by the pool. but it's tiny - gets too crowded. we went with friends who chose the site because dogs are allowed. too expensive.

Room Tip: check you're not near bins, loos or road!

Thanks for your comments. We are visited by thousands of families every year and the vast majority have an enjoyable stay. Clearly there need to be bins and there need to be toilets. The former are emptied regularly and the latter are cleaned several times a day. Some customers actually ask for pitches close to the toilet blocks and we are happy to try to accommodate such requests where we can - as we are any reasonable request.
