“Never going here again.”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

I booked the vip area for my mums 60th birthday party.
I paid £120 for food to feed 30 people.
I was give 3 bowls of chips.
One tray of sausage rolls
3 bowls of natchs and dips
2 trys of battered mushrooms and dips.
And 2 trays of cucumber and carrot sticks with a bit of salad and dips.
How is that a reflection of what I paid for.
I asked the deputy manager if that was all the food to which he replyed" yes I brought it out my self." I dont think he even checked in the kitchen.
It took a feather 10 minutes to get his attention again.
To which he told me he had called the manager.
So I waited to see the manager when he came out he went over to the cupboard and took out the buffet menu he read it to us then showed it to us.
I was with a friend at this poit and we both re read it.
Once we had looked over the menu we noticed we hadent recived one of the items and informed the manager.
He then went over to the vip area and had a look around. Walked back out and headed to the kitchen.
A few members of the party noticed he had a packet of cigarettes in his top pocket.
Very professional.
A few minuets later he came back out with the wraps that we had not received. He said "these were in the fridge they forgot them"
They weren't even cold.
But even added to what was brought out how dose 2 trays of wraps with a bit of salad total what we paid.
Another bowl of nachos with various dips came a few mins later but you could tell it had been thrown together. And were partly cold too.
As a good will gesture we later recived 4 bottles of champagne.
Which was nice however some of the guests were driving and couldn't drink and some of the guests were child so couldnt there enjoy the free drinks.
I felt let by the clipper as I often go in there for lunch with my mum or niece. I expecred more.
Instead I felt I had to apologise to the guests for the lack of food of which some people never ate as there wasnt enought to go around.
I felt embarrassed that I had even chosen the clipper.
I will not be coming back here again and I will be telling others of my experience here.

“a surprise 60th!”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

what a surprise, not enough food, chips tasting of scampi, garlic mushroom dripping in grease, some food did not appear until the person who made the booking complained, after 30 mins it arrived with the excuse that they forgot to deliver it-forgot to make it I think.Total rip off, make an honest profit but charging £120 for £15 worth of ingredients must deliver the biggest gross profit in town!

“Rude, slow staff”
Reviewed 8 September 2013 via mobile

Came here for lunch and the service was terrible. The guy taking our order, who I strongly suspected was hungover, and told us that he was having a '******* awful day' before totally messing up our orders. We had to send our diet coke back after they gave us a coke

“Appalling, a total rip off”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

Just been to a friend's 60th Birthday . I would NOT recommend it. My friend's daughter paid £120 for a 30 person buffet. The booking email stated this would also include drinks; none were provided. For £120 we got a couple of bowls of chips, a couple of bowls of nachos, 2 small trays of garlic mushrooms, a small plate of chopped veg with dip and two small trays of unchilled mini wraps AND THAT WAS IT. A complaint was made and some time later a further plate of nachos was provided, some of the 26 guests got nothing to eat at all! Some 'free' champagne was provided once the names of the Managers were requested, and it became apparent a complaint would be forthcoming. However, there were a number of children and elderly people who would not drink alcohol, and this didn't solve the problem of the lack of food and value for money. Whilst the Duty Manager was polite, the problem was not resolved in a satisfactory manner, and there was no service provided in the way of keeping the buffet area free of dirty plates and glasses. 0/10. All in all, an appalling experience and I will not go there again
