Stopped in on the way back from a Good Friday road trip, it felt it was close to Easter Monday by the time we got out! It used to be one of the top pub / family restaurants in the area but it is now an absolute dive. The wait for food was eternal with not so much as a warning or an apology from the staff but that was probaly largely due to the fact they just don't communicate with customers. Don't expect them to make contact with you, you place your order by accosting one of the staff as the walk by. Order wine by the number on the wine list, they struggle to pronounce grigio. To be fair, once it finally arrived the food was not too bad, I've had worse but then maybe I was just so hungry we would have eaten anything.
Having sat in a hovel for a coupe of hours, been ignored for most of that time, had some paltes cleared away whilst others were still eating I was astonished that the staff looked dispappointed that we did not leave a tip. The only tip we can offer - don't go there, drive on by.
