Food could be a little better but it is very reasonably priced so you get what you pay for. Overall we were so impressed we have booked to go again.
Shops are close by, Weymouth beach is stunning and this hotel is right on the beach.

Oh dear, the poor old Prince Regent in Weymouth has seen better days. I appreciate that Daish's may be investing in the hotel but first, why not just give it a dam good clean!

Only stayed for one evening and that was enough - honestly don't think I would have stayed any longer as I did not want to really sleep in the bed which had a dark brown grime all around the head board as as for dust, well you could write messages in it especially on the light bulbs/fittings etc.

The bathroom was in very sad state, again both with years of grime, cracked tiles on the floor and walls and mold all over the slip mats? Come on, this is not expected.

Was going to take evening meal but was told I could not dine as we had missed the one sitting of 1830Hrs! Its basically like a conveyor belt.

Breakfast was nothing to shout about, very small table, limited time to go in as its taken as a group and this may include 3 coaches. Food on offer of very poor quality.

No soap, shampoo or shower gel in rooms so remember to take your own!

Personally, I would just keep away and its such a shame as the location is superb!

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else?

We paid extra for a superior room on the 2nd floor which was very spacious and had a sea view. We were glad not to have had a room on higher floors as the one lift was very ancient and extremely small.

Room Tip: Request a superior room

Room 206 is not the standard we expected from a 3 star hotel. The room is very tired with dirty chipped paintwork the wallpaper is lifting off and marked, the wall along the headboard and dado rail is dirty. The carpet has a join that is worn and threadbare. The window frame is completely rotten the windows are not clean, the view is awful looking at boarded up windows and pipes. The furniture is old, tired and stained. The bathroom is so small with a shower that you can hardly get in, its impossible to dry yourself in the bathroom as the floor area is about 18 inches wide, the grouting is mouldy, the whole bathroom and room needs a total refurbishment. We were so disappointed it spoilt our holiday. Reception were not very helpful and said all the rooms have been allocated and full. The food is mass produced and tasteless at breakfast you have to fill in a form as to what you want from the menu for the evening meal its like being in hospital. The ballroom is very nice and the entertainment is good.

room 317 was a bit dated, old wardrobes etc with paper thin walls(lots of noise from adjoining room) very little sleep because of constant traffic noise( old sash windows,no double glazing)
lift was constantly out of use because other guests did not close the doors on the upper floors!!
on the plus side the staff were very friendly, and the food was good, and the dance floor was great.

Room Tip: rooms at the back are quieter

Just returned from a week-end at the Prince Regent Hotel with Daish's in room 321 with sea view in spacious accommodation complete with easy chairs. The only downside was it could do with a new shower it had brown mould round the edges and difficulty in closing and opening the doors, also the window could do with painting or complete new one. The food was excellent and plenty of it supplied by a waitress with attitude. We shall certainly be vising again in the not to distant future.

Room Tip: 321 only one fault noise with the traffic and drunks on a week-end. it is on the third floor only a...
