“Excellent B&B”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

I stayed in the Chesil Beach room for two nights in May with my girlfriend. Overall, we had a fantastic stay.

The location of the B&B is very good as it is quiet and located very close to the beach yet is only a 10 minutes walk from the restaurants and amenities of Weymouth.

The building is attractive externally with very well manicured gardens. Internally it is impressive with period features and wood panelling.

The Chesil Beach Room was a good size and decorated beautifully. It was also absolutely spotless. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. There was clearly a good level of attention to detail.

Breakfast was also excellent. I opted for the full english both mornings and it was put together very well (with an excellent sausage!).

The hosts were also very attentive and welcoming. We were offered tea on arrival and given maps of the local area and recommendations on where to go.

This is a fantastic B&B and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

Graeme and Barbara - thank you for a wonderful stay!

Spent 3 nights at The Old Rectory with my 90yr old mother. Everything was really good, hospitality brilliant without being intrusive. Good location, off street parking, free wi-fi, nice home cooked breakfast (we had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon one day!). The room had plenty of electric power points and of course tea and coffee making facilities. It was spotlessly clean with really nice quality soft furnishings. We were in The Portland Room which is twin bedded, the bathroom was adjacent and exclusive to us, but I would have preferred it en suite.
Overall an excellent experience, I would highly recommend this B&B and will certainly go back next time I am in the UK.

Room Tip: Only 3 rooms, two x doubles and 1 x twin bedded

We were given a very warm welcome by Graeme and Barbara and were made to feel very much at home. Our room was was fitted out to a very high standard and was very comfortable. Breakfast is cooked to order and was simply great. Location is lovely and quiet and the relatively short walk into town allows you to soak in the vista of Weymouths magnificent seafront as you walk in. Will definately come back.

We stayed at the old rectory for 2 nights while our children were at an adventure holiday, when we arrived we found Graeme and Barbara very warm and welcoming, we stayed in the Chesil room it was beautiful and had a sea view, Graeme bought us a pot of tea which was very welcome, I would recommend to anyone a stay at the old rectory, we enjoyed the breakfast each morning, there was lots of choice. It is a 15 min walk into Weymouth along the beach/esplanade. All in all a lovely bed and breakfast we would definitely stay there again. Thank you Graeme and Barbara.

Barbara and Graeme are very welcoming and provide excellent accommodation. We stayed for three nights in "The Chesil" room which has a triple aspect and is beautifully decorated. Everything is spotless. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order. There is also a choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruits and jams excellently presented. Graeme very kindly picked us up from the station and then we were offered freshly made coffee and biscuits. The Old Rectory is situated in a quiet area and ideally located for walkers like ourselves.

We had 2 rooms -twin and double (especially nice!). Owners are really friendly and helpful and very welcoming. The place is spotless and have everything you need. Breakfast had many choices and all were really tasty and fresh. They went out of their way to help with any request.
Really close to the beach and the esplanade and easy to get out of town and into this great county!
highly recommended!

Hi Yaniv, Rob and Tali,

I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay with us recently, and thank you very much for taking the trouble to leave Barbs and I a super review.
We hope Tali enjoyed the rest of her stay in the Uk, and had a good trip back to Israel.

Kind Regards
Graeme and Barbara
