We stayed the first time after getting married and all the staff were very helpful.... and we even had a complimentary bottle of bubbly from the manager. Rooms were clean, tidy, wide choice of cereals, fruit, full english breakfast etc. You can park in their garage for £3 per night which is secure. Right by the town bridge and easy walking distance to town/beach/restaurants/pubs/fort. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Finding this hotel is problematic due to the Weymouth one-way system. Parking isn't easily accessible for the same reason. We were put in a side alley for £3 a night although there is secure garage parking for the elite.

Our room was single glazed, tired, no frills. The en-suite didn't have a bolt on the door. The shower cycled hot/cold continually each time it was used. Worryingly, the ceiling had several largish water stains from the flat roof above. The TV was an oldish pre-digital with just the five main channels. The walls were thin enough to hear the occupant of the next room snoring. Then there was the noise from outside, no double glazing remember.

The breakfast was nothing special and on both occasions was cold before I finished it. Some items were "cooked to order, about 15 minutes" including the scrambled egg which arrived as a lump almost instantaneously.

The alley in which my car was parked would hold six cars two abreast. Keys had to be left at reception. As we arrived late afternoon, my car was parked at the front. Having not used it for two days, I returned to find it at the back of the line. I expected it to be moved, but I also expected if not to have taken 15 minutes to get it out. A real "Fawlty Towers" shambles! Added to this, the keys are left unsecured under the counted at reception with no system for booking them in or out!

I can only assume that those who have rated this hotel more highly didn't have a car and were given a room elsewhere in the building.

Room Tip: Stay else where

Perfect hotel for a Weymouth break. Right alongside both the harbour and the main shops, and about 5 minutes walk to the beach. The hotel is a little dated and rambling inside, but the staff and breakfasts are excellent!

Room Tip: Front rooms are popular, but can be a little noisey

Right in the heart of Weymouth - clean tidy hotel - rambles over several buildings so easy to lose your way round the corridors! Staff friendly and very helpful . Booked through ViaMichelin which for an extra £7 gave you the facility to cancel without extra cost - £67 for twin/double en suite b&b . Right by Town Bridge with access to centre of town and quayside. Parking available No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Booked at the last moment, the staff were very helpful and smiley, the Hotel was ageing but very clean and tidy. Superbly located with easy reach of sea front, harbour and Portland. I would highly recommend this hotel, and we shall return.
