We stayed for 4 nights as 3 adults and 2 children under 5. Firstly the welcome was fabulous and immediately put us at our ease. We had two beautiful attic rooms and the restaurant, swimming pool and fitness facilities were all good. Make sure you get the chance to have a carvery lunch and the tostadillas on the bar menu were delicious. This hotel is not snooty like some hotels so is perfect for a family holiday with attentive and amusing staff. Amy you are a STAR. Thanks

We booked two family rooms for two night stay.
We booked a B&B rate and the rooms were clean, the breakfast was very good and all the staff from reception to cleaners were all helpful and friendly. The bar food was also very good, the burgers were an excellent choice and homemade!!
My only negative about this hotel was the price of the drinks!!

The pool area was also nice and clean.

On arrival the parking was horrendous, however this was due to carnival. The receptionist rattled of her introduction like a robot and we were given the keys. The reception area looked quite nice, as it was on the web site photos.
On entering the room there was a very bad stale, musty smell. The room was dated and poorly decorated with cheap wooden furniture. The bathroom door was half finished and needed plaining. The bathroom has exposed pipes and hairiness the plug hole. The windows were so dirty you could not see out to the lovely view of the car park!!!!

We left te Hoyle quickly and spent the day in Weymouth. On returning to Hotel I asked reception if we could change rooms, I was told abruptly the Hotel was fully booked a d they did not even ask what the problem was. Not a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was ok but like a cattle market.

We lest promptly in the morning where the receptionist tried to charge me for drinks that we never had with a reciept that wasn't even my signature.

For a 3 star hotel at £139 a night this was not worth the money. The next night we stayed at Best Western in Bournemouth the same star the same price but he difference was incredible.

Rebrand needs to see what Bournemouth are doing right.

I would not recommend this Hotel and will not be returning

For the benefit of prospective guests please note:

1) the hotel does not enjoy sea views and we clearly say that on our marketing material. We do have a FREE car park which most guests find useful (see previous reviews) and therefore views of it are inevitable. Hotels on the sea front enjoy beautiful views of Weymouth Bay! However they either have no parking or it is very limited, in which case bring a lot of change;
2) The bathroom door is an internal ‘sapele veneered door’ which obviously cannot be painted because of its finish! There is absolutely nothing wrong with it;
3) There was no alternative room as we were full! Oh dear we must be doing something right, then!
4) Breakfast was therefore extremely busy. Describing it as a cattle market is very unfair and unjustified.

on arrival we had a free upgrade room which was really nice. Nothing was to much for the staff and the food was excellent value for money. our holiday had breakfast included which filled you up for the day, The swimming pool was really good. we literally had a 5 minute walk round the corner to the beach, and the attractions were even quicker to get to. no problems with parking the car.

Stayed three nights for family funeral..room clean but small,needs fridge etc nice chambermaid,Janine.but the hotel needs a good overhaul and modernising..breakfast not great,why not use local products instead of that awful packaged" "jam" etc..dorset cereals for eg are based in dorchester,get chef to make bread,etc,get fresh juice instead of concentrate.
The staff are very nice,it's well placed for the beach etc,but the hotel is just going because of that..it hasn't chanced since I past it on my way to school over 50 years ago!,

Room Tip: Rooms at back,less road noise,but function suite

we stayed for 2 nights and overall were very pleased with the hotel. It's a short walk to the beach and town centre and plenty of on-site parking at no additional cost. The rooms were a little dated in terms of decoration but were very clean which is much more important to me than decor. I would have preferred for the rooms to have a small fridge and safe but otherwise had everything. Hotel swimming pool was lovely, my 3 year old was able to stand in the shallow end and had fun splashing about. The breakfast was superb, lots of choice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The carvery was not great, I'd go back but wouldn't have carvery.

This hotel is a bit dated and in need of a refurbishment.
We only had two nights here and it was picked for the pool/spa etc by my other half for my birthday and a visit to lulworth.

The first impressions were that the room and corridor had the smell of either an old smokers section or old people's home! The first morning we had no electricity which meant I had to go out for the day with wet hair and the tv kept switching itself off. The pool area is ok but outdated.

On the plus side the breakfast was good and the staff very friendly
