Nice hotel, clean rooms, friendly staff. Besides the decor being a little outdated the whole hotel has been very well maintained and is very clean.
Bedrooms have everything you'd expect. Single bed in the triple room is not comfortable but main double is fine and bedroom lighting is a little on the dim side. A purpose light for makeup would be good. Overall rooms are very nice.
Breakfast is very good - great selection and good quality. Good service
We were pleased to see that the staff temporarily shut the bar to honour the 11 o/c armistice parade.
The leisure area is good and the pool is great when quiet but can get busy. Early start recommended.
Interesting art on the walls which is also for sale.
Checking in & out was simple. This hotel is exactly what you would expect for the star rating. I would return.

My husband is in a wheelchair and asked for the room for disabled. It was well designed with plenty of room for a wheelchair. The wet room was perfect, if we needed any more equipment we only had to ask. Food was excellent, the staff went out of their way to ask if I needed help at meal times (we were half board). All the staff were extremely helpful which was so nice. Will definitely be going again.

The rooms are clean, comfortably, spacious. The staff make all visitors welcome and are really helpful. What a pity that the kitchen lets things down, the breakfast buffet is inconsistent with some food overlooked and some under. The evening special menu shows the chef has a limited palate, for example overpowering a duck breast with chilli losing all the flavour of the duck.
If they could sort out the restaurant this would be a 4 star experience

A very friendly, clean hotel only a short walk to the Promenade. The breakfast was very good and, as it was serve yourself, you could have just what you wanted. It was pleasing to see proper flat mushrooms rather than the button type offered by many hotels.
The pool is adequate. The leisure staff are very helpful.
Two small complaints. 1) Noise. Our room was by the delivery area and as the windows were not double glazed it did get noisy, particularly in the mornings. 2) Heat. The room seemed excessively hot. We turned the central heating off and had the windows open for the whole of our stay. We were near the leisure centre so perhaps heat was radiating up from that.
We had a lovely stay overall in a family room which was surprisingly large; one double bed and two single. We will definitely use Best Western again.

Room Tip: Book your breakfast in advance. The price works out much cheaper.
