My wife and I stayed here last weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff here are all fantastic, so helpful, polite, friendly, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel so welcome. The facilities (pool, sauna, steam room, spa bath) were all very good and the breakfast, although buffet style, was fantastic. Great quality sausages, bacon and the best black pudding I have had in years! Only thing that let the hotel down and stopped it being a level 5 rating was that the decor looked tired. A real shame as this should be a five star review. I would happily stay here again, we felt so relaxed and the staff are the best I have met in years too. I stay away on average a night a week due to work and just wish all the hotel staff I meet were like those at the Rembrandt. Thank you for making our weekend so good. One other great point - although there was a party and a wedding reception at night we did not hear this from our room which means the function rooms must be well sound proofed - again another big plus point for the hotel!

We have just had a fabulous party night organised by the Hotel. The event was a fantastic success and everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed themselves. My thanks to Angela and Mathew who were key to its success and smooth running. Nothing was to much trouble. Some of the party guests stayed overnight and relatives made it a 3 day weekend on the hotels deal. I didn't hear of any major issues and everyone who stayed enjoyed their weekend. I would defiantly get these guys to organise future events and I highly recommend them. Many Thanks

Stayed 1 night before a day trip to Guernsey.Front desk welcome was friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated, plenty of tea and coffee.
As leaving early did not have breakfast but dinner was excellent. Being a Sunday we had the Carvery, lots of choice and generous portions especially dessert bar. Must complement the waiting staff, there was a coach party of elderly guests and the staff really looked after them, carrying plates and assisting serve at the Carvery counter.
Did not use the pool but it was a good size and looked inviting.
Would stay again as in a good position for the town.

We "upgraded" to the more expensive rooms, not sure if that was good or bad - Good as I would hate to see the cheaper rooms, Bad because I cant see what I was paying for. Value is poor when the price we paid could have got us a half decent Hotel in London. Found the place easy enough, and there is amble free car parking. We walked into town but think you can get a bus - 15-20 mins by foot. No aircon in the rooms and the beds are standard doubles. We only had luke warm water at best in the morning for a shower - I didn't bother and went without. There is a pool, which looked nice and a hotel bar which was reasonably priced.
We had a ferry to catch early in the morning, we ordered a early breakfast - we got cereal some fruit and 2 pieces of toast, coffee and tea - so would recommend getting the non B and B rate if needing to shoot off early -

Its a place to sleep, just paid through the nose for it.

A requirement to visit Portland on business , and this Hotel was ideal
Great location close to town , plenty of parking ,
The room was of a good size , bed very comfy could easily slept on in the morning
Very quiet location. Breakfast gave a huge choice and all the hot food was HOT and fresh , something some Hotels do miss

Another very much appreciated touch in the room , plenty of milk for tea and coffee , some Hotels leave just a couple of milk cartons on the tray

All round great stay

Thank you
