I stayed at The Leam Hotel for the weekend with my sister.
We were warmly welcomed by the new owners Michele and Jason, who are doing wonders renovating the hotel, making it light and comfortable.

The beds were super comfortable and we slept like logs, after walking on the beach which is just across the road right in front of the hotel.

Breakfast was delicious with crisp bacon, good sausages and fried eggs, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee in the upstairs lounge was sunny and bright, watching the world go by and enjoying the sea view.

The renovated rooms are light, simply but beautifully decorated and have everything you need including a tea tray. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel as there are so many restaurants to choose from, but we had an evening drink in the bar beforehand. They make a great gin and tonic!

Many thanks for a super stay, if it is a little warmer next time we might even be brave enough to swim.

The hotel is in a very good spot and within an easy walk to the harbour, shops and restaurants.

Room Tip: Choose a room with sea view

Dear Lisa

Thanks so much for your lovely review. We are glad you like our new memory foam topped mattresses, they are amazingly comfortable.

We are lucky here with our position in Weymouth so we are delighted you made the most of the local restaurants for supper and the beach walks.

Please come back and see how we are getting on with our renovations when you are next in Dorset, we hope to make more progress before the Festive season starts

Thanks once again for your positive feedback

Michelle

We stayed at the Leam for 3 nights and have to say we cannot fault the hotel. It's in a great location, just over the road from the beach and also close to some very good restaurants, shops, and the harbour area. We had a very large room with a sea view, an enormous bed, tea/coffee making facilities, two large wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. The customer service from Michelle & Jason (owners), the waitresses, and the bar staff was first class, nothing was too much trouble for them. They also have a great knowledge of the local area, offering advice on different places to visit, local bars and restaurants. We would highly recommend the Leam to anyone visiting the area and will hopefully be returning again in the near future.

My fiancée and I stayed at The Leam Hotel for 5 days and we requested a sea view room.

We entered our room and we couldn't believe how big, spacious and elegant our room was. But that wasn't all!! The sea view was amazing!!!! (see pics) You could not get better unless you was actually on the beach. It was fantastic waking up in the morning looking out to the sea with a coffee.

The evening meals were nice and the English breakfast were spot on. There was no problem in altering the meals slightly to accommodate us.

All of the staff was really pleasant and helpful and when our kettle broke a brand new one was given to us there and then.

The location is great, the town and shops are five minutes walk away and the beautiful harbour is a ten minute walk away.

Overall, we are happy that we stayed at The Leam Hotel and are looking forward to going back.

I can thoroughly recommend the Leam. So refreshing to see some investment in a seaside hotel. The new owners are doing a great job and I will definitely return next time I am in the area. I am sure the hotel will rise through the rankings as the refurbishment continues.

What a lovely hotel! My husband, 3 year old son, two year old daughter and I stayed for three nights from Friday 11th July 2014. The new hotel owners Michelle and Jason are so friendly and welcoming, we felt as if nothing was too much trouble. The hotel decor is fresh and contemporary and running through is a nautical theme which blends in naturally with the seaside surroundings. The location is perfect, right on the beach and next to the jubilee clock so it is easy to find. Although there is no parking (the same as nearly every other hotel on the esplanade) it is easy to access, a short walk from both the train station and public car parks.
The staff at The Leam (Team Leam) are all friendly, helpful and smartly dressed. The room we were in (4) was suitable for our family, we could get our tandem pushchair to the room without trouble and there was room for all the stuff associated with having two small children on holiday with us.
On the Saturday night we went down to the bar and were thoroughly entertained by a singer, we danced the night away to the sounds of live music, it was brilliant!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly families, wishing to have an enjoyable seaside break and look forward to returning in the future.
Thanks so much for everything Michelle and Jason!

Dear Laura, Richard,Isaac and Caitlyn

It was a joy to have your family here with buckets and spades, enjoying the donkey rides and Punch & Judy.
It is exactly why we bought the hotel so lovely families like yours can come and enjoy Weymouth as much as we do.
Thanks for your positive review. We are glad you danced the night away and enjoyed staying in one of our large family rooms. Please come again soon!
