I've stayed in several Premier Inns but this was not one of the better PI experiences. First the good news; the location is great, just minutes from the eastern end of the beach (mostly shingle here with some sand). More importantly for me it is also within walking distance of two excellent RSPB reserves. ; Lodmore 5 minutes walk, Radipole about 20 minutes For those with children there is the Sea Life Centre and other attractions just minutes away also. However the hotel is surrounded by a large car and coach park so don't expect great views. I usually seek out Premier Inn bargains and pay between £29 - £49 per night so don't expect too many frills. However this was a late booking and the room was well over £100 per night for both of the two nights we stayed. Having booked online we were then informed that our room was a disabled room but it wasn't explained what this meant; essentially in the ground floor room the bathroom was much bigger which meant the bedroom was much smaller; a standard bed (not king-size) and one occasional chair instead of the usual settee. No air con in the room (during a very hot weekend) just a fan which meant the room was very uncomfortable. The room above seemed to be populated by nocturnal elephants so sleep was at a premium . We checked in at around 8.30 pm and the hotel looked quite grubby and untidy. The staff were not the friendliest PI staff I have encountered either. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend despite not because of this hotel. Maybe the upstairs rooms have a better view but I won't be returning to find out.

We stayed at Weymouth Seafront mon-fri with our 3year old daughter. Perfect location as right next to the Sealife centre, Pirate crazy golf and Lodmoor Park (Which has a play park and train). It's only a minute away from seafront and about 20/25 min walk to town centre at a small child's speed but there is the sealife seafront train you can catch. The staff were all extremely friendly (always acknowledged our daughter everyday when they weren't busy) and obliging as were the staff in the restaurant next door in which you have the breakfast. Great value for money, clean and comfortable rooms. Will be recommending to family and friends and would stay again. Thank you Premier Inn Weymouth Seafront.

We regularly stay at Premier Inns and love Weymouth. This is in a fantastic position for a lovely walk along the sea into the town. We arrived early so asked for a parking permit which was fine. Later we checked in and our room was very very hot room 81 - the corridors were even hotter it was like a blast furnace. We could not sleep it was very uncomfortable so we spoke to reception the next morning who said they would see what they could do to help make it better. When we arrived back we asked the receptionist (Maureen) if anything had been done to cool our room to which she replied "I will pass on that I don't know, housekeeping haven't told me - its not my problem!" then she scuttled into the back office leaving us stood there in disbelief. She didn't come back out and when we went out later (our room was still boiling) she scuttled into the back again. We had another restless night none of us slept and we went and spoke to reception on our way out. We were relieved to see a lovely lady called Aimee who apologised and said she would refund us under their good night sleep guarantee and said if we come back next year there will be air conditioning. We will return but only down to Aimee's chat to us. We don't like to complain but we really could not sleep and it spoilt what should have been a lovely weekend. On Thursday night we stayed at Bournemouth Westcliffe who had wonderful friendly staff - I seriously think Maureen needs to go there for a bit of customer service training - nothing was too much for them and they do have air con! Maureen also checked us in on our booking huffing and puffing, no mention of breakfast or evening meals etc and from what we saw while we were waiting to check in was equally rude and abrupt. Maybe she was having a bad wkend but having stayed in many Premier Inns I have never encountered anyone like her before. The staff are always friendly, helpful and polite.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor near reception I would assume these rooms could be cooler.

Upon arrival 30 mins early we were told they would get our room ready for 2pm. Checking in starts then so I would assume all rooms would be ready. 5 past 2 our room was "ready". The room was for 4 of us to stay in and had 1 fan to try and cool the air on a hot weekend. We weren't planning on being in the room for a great deal of time so no biggie (at the time). Upon returning to the room in the evening my wife went to retrieve a dummy from under the bed and found leaflets from the reception area thrown under the bed. She complained and was told it'd be cleaned 1st thing in the morning. At 4pm the following day when my wide was chilling out they knocked and asked to clean it then!!

Again my wife spoke to the front desk and was told the manager would be in Sunday morning around half 8. That night the room was so hot we could not sleep. The one window could be opened about 2 inches and the fan was inadequate. To top it off we were told in the morning the manager wasn't due to work!!!

Last year stayed at the other PI in Weymouth and was a lot better. Wouldn't return to this one or recommend it

This is the only premier inn I have stayed in that doesn't have air con!!
We stayed during a warm weekend and Im afraid it was so uncomfortable to get any sleep.
Getting ready to go out was not pleasant as you were hot and sweaty getting showered and ready.
I am shocked that there was no air con as I thought Premier Inns would realise this is crucial.
A weekend ruined by lack of sleep and uncomfortable surroundings.
Also not the cleanest premier inn either!

Hotel stay was let down by the high temp inside the room. The outside air Temp was approx 20c, the room windows were fitted with devices to prevent them opening more than 2". Unfortunately this meant that the room temp became uncomfortably hot. The staff have put small electric fans in the rooms but they have little effect. We enquired about changing rooms after 1st night, we were in room 94, Receptionist offered to move us to 93. Needless to say we stayed in room 94. This problem will only become worse as the summer Temp increases above 20c. I feel sorry for guest using the Hotel in these higher Temps. Air con is the only solution.

Easy parking, Excellent reception staff from Check in to Check out. On arrival room very hot, and remained hot during our 1 night stay as there is no air conditioning in room. However it was a very warm day and as normal the room was very clean and comfortable beds. Large Flatscreen TV. Very good breakfast. On check out even though we were not going to mention the hot room , the receptionist asked us if our stay was okay and when we mentioned the problem she immediately refunded us the cost of the room and explained that that premier Inn was in the process of having air conditioning fitted. Thanks to the receptionist.
