“Good hotel shame no air con yet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014 via mobile

We went for 3 nights first week of august. We checked in and paid on line. We arrived about an early for check in but wanted to get a car park pass so went in and our room was ready which was fantastic so em could dump our bags and get out to explore. The hotel was clean staff friendly. Room was as expected and clean but extremely hot. There was a fan but this did not help much. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the jubilee clock tower and then a bit further on into the centre. Breakfast next door at the brewers fayre was really nice and plenty of it. We ate once in the evening at the brewers fayre we did book a table which is recommended as we overheard others being told up to a 40 minute wait. It is very popular especially as a lot of people who have visited lodmoor next door come in after their day. Overall hotel is good does what is says good location near the seafront just a few minutes walk but air con is needed. There was a notice saying they started the work on the 7th July but still nothing in any rooms from what I am aware of.

This Premier Inn was great value for an overnight stay. The rooms were totally as expected and the hotel was clean and tidy. They are in the process of installing Air Conditioning throughout, however when we stayed it was incomplete. The day had been sweltering and they had thoughtfully installed fans in each room.

The resecption staff were bright and friendly and the adjacent Brewer's Fayre Restaurant serve wholesome food.

All in all a fair price for an hotel of this type.

We booked a one-night stay for a mini family holiday in one of their family rooms. It was easy to find (although ignore the signs for Premier Inn as you approach Weymouth as these are for the other PI hotel).
The room was large and had both a single bed for my 5yo and a cot for my 2yo which was fantastic.
Parking was free (just grab a ticket from the reception desk when checking in).
Location was amazing, as the Sea Life Centre and Sand World were literally located on the other side of the car park. Across the main road (with a traffic light controlled crossing) was the start of the beach, and the end station for the Sea Life Express Land Train so you can easily and quickly get to the main section of the beach and Sea Life tower (£3 per person, one way, under 3s free).
The room was hot, but we were automatically given a fan to help cool it down.
Lovely powerful shower, and large bath to bathe the kids together.
On checking-in, we were not asked about dinner reservations by reception staff, so was a little disappointed to have to wait 25 minutes for a table when arriving at their restaurant at 5.30. But, they gave us free entry to the soft play section while we waited. The food was delicious and hot though, so a good ending.
The breakfast was great (and free for children) as it was help-yourself and all-you-can-eat. We made sure we took advantage of a large hearty cooked breakfast (and a veggie sausage for me) to get us through the day of exploring Weymouth.
Due to the location, and reasonable price, if visiting Weymouth again, we would consider this hotel again.

My mother and I booked a one night stay at the Weymouth Seafront as we wanted to be able to get to and see the sea with ease. We booked a twin bedded room well in advance of our trip and when we arrived received a double bed with a small single for a child. The double bed was very comfortable with great pillows and duvets but the single bed was definitely not of the same standard as the double. The hotel seemed very full so we didn't make a complaint as there probably wouldn't have been another room available but on reflection perhaps we should have.

The room also only has one chair to sit in should you want to watch TV or read so the other occupants have to sit/lie on the beds.

The hotel is currently having air conditioning fitted but our room contained two fans to keep the room cool.

The breakfast we had the following morning was super, couldn't fault it.

We stayed here as a family of four for an overnight stay during a short break by the sea. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The kids beds were not made up when we entered the room, so I had a chat at reception and someone arrived within 10 minutes to gets it all sorted which was acceptable.

The bathroom had only 2 large towels, 1 hand towel and 1 floor towel to accommodate a family of 4. Slightly less than we wanted and since one of the large towels smelt of chip fat we were reduced to less. There was no slip mat in the bath for the kids either and would have thought that could be a good idea for the little ones as ours did slip over a couple of times.

There is no lift to any of the floors so if you've got a buggy/pram and are on the first floor (like we were) then you've got to carry it upstairs.

WiFi is poor and I ended up using my phones 3G network as it was faster.

We had a disrupted nights sleep due to the warmth of the room. The air con had been installed but was yet to be activated so it was very warm throughout our stay. We were supplied with one desk fan to cool the whole room. We left the window open through the night and then was woken up early due to the seagulls (I know you can't blame Premier Inn for the wildlife!).

Due to the warmth of the hotel their staff decided to leave the security doors (which are supposed to be alarmed) open to create some kind of airflow. Unfortunately this creates a security issue as myself and other guests used this to gain access in and out of the building without anyone questioning us.

I know this all sounds bad but to be honest we had a decent stay. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and modern, the dinner and breakfast meals were great and very good value for money. At the end of our stay I mentioned the air con issue and they offered a refund under their Good Night Sleep Guarantee without any hassle. I would stay again for sure.

Myself and wife with two grand children in a family room. The room was clean and well presented. A very quiet hotel.

Everything was "Spot On". Fantastic value for my money.

The staff were great. Food was great value also.
