Having read some of the adverse comments AFTER we had booked we had some doubts about the wisdom of our booking. However, on arriving, our fears evaporated with the cheery greeting and the efficiency of the check-in process. We were quickly able to find our room which was clean, tidy and comfortable with sufficient bath and hand towels, and pillows.
This is not really what I would call an hotel, as there are none of the supplementary facilities that are usually associated with hotels, such as room service, porterage, public lounges etc,. Premier Inns provide rooms and some form of dining facilities, which may or may not be on the premises. This is what they do, and they do it very well indeed.
The Inn was at maximum capacity and we anticipated something of a bun-fight at breakfast, which we had pre-booked for the 3 days of our stay. Wrong again. We indeed found the breakfast room to be very busy, but the slick operation in place meant that we were escorted to a clean table immediately on arrival each morning. Our orders were promptly taken and well-presented and appetising meals were served with no excessive delay, during which time we were able to help ourself to toast, juice, coffee, etc,.
Maybe the people who found cause for complaint were unlucky, but we found no cause for complaint at all.

We decided to have a short break in Weymouth, and booked a family room at the Premier Inn in Weymouth.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were nice and very clean.

We had two nice breakfasts there, and the children and ourselves had a lovely stay.

Stayed here overnight with my wife en route to the Channel Islands. The reception was busy at 20:30 so waited to get booked in, the room looked like it hadn`t been cleaned glass/cup marks on the surfaces, Brown marks to the back of toilet seats, room to warm, the temperature had been up in the high 20s all day, had to be up early in the morning 04:45 to catch the ferry, couldn`t be bothered to complain as all we wanted to get something to eat as we had been travelling for the best part of the day, television reception was abysmal, when we left in the morning, no recepionist/porter , other travellers were just leaving their door keys on the counter, all this for £81:00!!!!!
Never again,, I used to champion Premier as Ive stayed at loads never again.. Will be writing a formal complaint.

The hotel is in a nice location being a 15 minute walk into Weymouth town centre. Because it is off set from the road traffic noise was never a problem. The hotel was in good condition but the major downside was that there was no air conditioning in the room and the windows only open about 2 inches. With no air con and how little the windows open it was very warm in the room so I would hate to think how hot it would be in August time. The hotel are aware of the problem and provide a electric fan but with no cool air getting in from the window it wasn't that benifical. Not sure if they could make the windows open wider by another 2 inches since a child still shouldn't be able to fall out.

So if you like to be warm I would go their anytime but if I was to return it would not be in the summer months.

Stayed here for a couple of nights and is the sixth year running that we have stayed, sometimes twice a year. Im not going to say to much other than its a really nice hotel, always clean, normally nice staff but this last trip the seemed yonger and dont say hello! I also think the houskeeping was running a bit behind time! But that wasnt an issue for me.
You stay at the hotel and can use the park and ride which runs from directly behind the hotel.
There is a pub/resturant just a two minute walk from the hotel, but if you are going at a peak time in the year then book the resturant in the morning if you plan to use it for tea time.
The pebbled part of the beach is just a few minutes from the hotel, across the road and the sea is there....beautiful. If you want the beach its a 10-15min walk or catch the park and ride bus.

What a chaotic hotel! At £100 a night it wasn't cheap and with there being no lift and no air conditioning or bathroom extractor fans in the room, and with the staff being less friendly than we have become accustomed to in our past stays in Premier Inns we shall be giving this one a miss in future.

We arrived at 1pm and were informed by the 3 receptionists that were on duty in an empty reception that the room wasn't ready, and to come back at 2pm.

When we arrived back at 3pm there were a lots of other families also trying to book in and only ONE harrased receptionist on duty and most of the rooms not yet available. (This scene was being repeated each day as we went past reception at about 4pm-ish.)
Luckily our room was just about being finished off and off we went to the room.

Most of the rooms were on the ground or first floor, but right at the very far end of the hotel along a very long corridor there are 11 rooms on the 2nd floor. (Rooms 98-108)
BEWARE....there is no lift and numerous doors and two flights of stairs to these rooms.

Our room didn't have any air conditioning at all and no extractor fan in the bathroom. As our bedroom window only opened about 2 inches the room was like a sauna all the time. There was a portable fan which made it slightly more bearable. But with the sun shining through the window for most of the day I would hate to be staying there in the main summer weeks!

The receptionists ,although not being rude, didn't have the usual Premier Inn cheerfulness and welcoming smile .When asking for any extra tea & coffee sachets,as it says you are welcome to ask for on the back of the invoice, we were made to feel most uncomfortable.
It seems like for such a busy hotel that they haven't got enough reception staff or Chamber Maids to be able to cope for the hotel to run efficiently.

BREAKFAST IS ONE TO BE AVOIDED!!!! We had to order and pay for the breakfast the previous day (Have always been able to pay for one on the morning, if we fancied it, in the past)
After requesting 3 full breakfasts and 2 porridge we ended up with ONE porridge and 2 breakfasts. The 3rd plate just contained 2 sausages and a boiled egg. When they stomped off back to the kitchens with it,a breakfast with poached eggs just thrown onto it was served up. All 3 plates were swimming in poached egg water and were uneatable. We requested fried bread twice and this never arrived at all. When I asked if I could have hash browns I was told that if you ordered fried bread, you couldn't have anything else as well ??(Having paid for an 'All You Can Eat Breakfast' ????? )

Other people were sending their breakfasts back later as well,as they weren't as ordered.
The waitress clearing away our uneaten food said "This is happening too often! You need to complain to the management so that they get something done about it"

On complaining to the receptionist we were promised a refund for that breakfast.

During the rest of our stay we heard a few others telling reception that the breakfast was far from satisfactory.

We will not be recommending this hotel to anyone else .

We stopped here when we saw the huge sign stating rooms from 29 pounds. We didn't really expect a room for that price, but expected something in the 30 to 45 pound range. But our room was 74 pounds plus an extra 7.50 each for breakfast. It ended up being by far the most expensive place we stayed in England (more than in London!). They lure you in with the sign then nail you with the expensive room. Beware!
Despite the price, the room was very nice with a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast staff were very nice and attentive. The cooked food was beautifully prepared and there was lots of other food (croissants, cereal, yoghurt, muffins) that were self-serve.
The woman who checked us in could have been friendlier (she was a bit snooty), but the woman the following morning was very nice and gave us road directions.
We later discovered that there are lots of good B&Bs in Weymouth for 25 pounds per person.
