Reviewed 25 June 2014

I took my family to this pub and have come away deflated,i was tired of the pubs around he campsite.we got some drinks in the den of a bar surrounded by grizzly locals looking at you like you don't belong.the staff were plesasant and the garden is quite nice. The food is awful.the sausages look like little walls bangers, great for kids ,not for grown ups, please go to see a nice little pub ,but avoid the grub

“Go somewhere else !”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Had the misfortune and bad judgement of choosing this pub to eat whilst on holiday recently. For anyone who is thinking it looks a nice place to eat then think again.

I ordered a standard chicken chips and salad for my main, not too difficult you wouldnt have thought, but oh my, what arrived on my plate looked like it had come straight out of a cooked chicken fillets bag from iceland and nuked in the microwave to warm it up a bit, this made boiled chicken look appealing !!!. There was no colour to it just a grey wishy washy colour, no seasoning, and if this wasnt bad enough, as the portion was so small they had cut it up into pieces, just like you would for a six year old to spread it around the plate more.

To say i was horrified was an understatement. In my 52 years on this earth i have never been served a piece of chicken that looked so unedible and disgusting as i had at the Bridge inn.

Then i found myself in a very uncomfortable confrontation with the waitress who was not accepting my right to comment on the appaling food i had been served and made to feel like i had no right at all to complain. She continued to push the matter until i told her to just leave it.

Come on you guys this is a breast of chicken we are talking about not Lobster Thermadore, ITS NOT HARD. You roast it preferably with the skin on (as that was what i expected, and what you normally would get ) and you add some seasoning to it for tase and then serve IN ONE PIECE !!!
Microwaving a bland frozen skinned chicken breast is not the way to do it

So anyone contemplatingf a visit then think again. There are far more better places worthy of your money than the Bridge Inn with happier staff who are willing to accept your comments when they have so clearly got it sooooo wrong.

“Never again”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

As a new B & B owner in Weymouth I thought I would try this establishment, never again the food was horrible. BBQ sauce out of a bottle, that is not restaurant quality. The liver and bacon looked like a dogs dinner. Sorry Bridge Inn to be blunt but food quality not for me sorry.
