“Won't accept young adults”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

Phoned to book a twin room for one evening. Very rude man on the phone explained to me I was not allowed to stay as I was to young although he had only spoke to me for a few seconds. would not accept young guests due to thinking we would be loud and disrespectful. Shocking to be that judgmental against people!!

Booked online and landlady rang the morning of our arrival to confirm when we would arrive. She also told us where to park so that we did not have to pay. Room at the top of the house so although the guest house is above a pizza takeaway, it did not impact us at all. The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities and a roof terrace! Large en suite bathroom and welcoming hosts. Perfect place to stay for stopover. would stay again.

This was our first visit to Weymouth and we decided to book into the Twin Palms for one night 'respite' after spending 4 days at Camp Bestival just up the road, prior to another week of camping in the area. What a fabulous place, if only we'd booked for longer!! We've got 2 little girls (4 and 2) and so had booked the family room, which was really inexpensive considering we were staying at the height of the season. The fact that there is no breakfast is not a problem as the location of this guest house means you are a stones-throw from a multitude of cafes where you can get a 'full English' for under a fiver! Julie was a complete star, so welcoming and friendly. Sometimes when travelling with younger kids you feel very aware of how other people might react to them, not so here, we almost felt like part of the family. The family room has a large double room with an adjoining single room, genius! The girls settled down to watch the DVD/telly in their room whilst we were able to chill out in our room. The rooms were spotless, shower was great - plenty of hot water :-) and the location ideal. Shops, beach, station, pubs, restaurants all on the doorstep. Julie gave us some great tips about what was going on, where best to eat with a young family and some ideas for days out that wouldn't break the bank. Best value, lovely people, friendly and welcoming, clean, well presented, with everything that you need. We will be back again, but next time for longer :-). We loved Weymouth and we loved the Twin Palms.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect base for a couple of days in Weymouth.
It's very close to the shops and the beach and right next to the train station.
We had a family room - double with a separate single attached - and it was immaculately clean and comfortable.
The landlady was welcoming and helpful and we also had the use of the roof terrace.
There are plenty of options for a good breakfast within easy walking distance.
Would recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Twin Palms and it was perfect. Julie greeted us with friendliness and very helpful information about Weymouth, things to do and places to eat. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the railway station where you can park your car, 2 minutes from the beach, and virtually right in the middle of the town. We had a double room with a co-joining 2nd single bedroom for our son. Our room was a generous size with a large double bed, shower, flat screen TV, window seat overlooking the street and from which you could also see the water. It was clean, very comfortable and a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this place if you are planning a trip to Weymouth. Just perfect!
