Really enjoyed walking round Portland, there is so much to learn about the place, you need to read about Portland before you go over or you will miss things.

A really interesting and varied walk, well signposted. An ideal extension to a south west coastal path walk.

Down from Gloucester with the family.
Lyme Regis recommended this as flat walk suitable for wheelchair users.
The recommended walk included returning via the SW Coast Path from Sandsfoot Castle to Nothe Fort and along the harbor front and then the Esplanade. and the SW Coast Path.
We went all the way down to the old torpedo factory before returning to Sandsfoot Castle

A good walk from Weymouth town can be found here. The start is not particularly well signposted. We parked opposite the KFC/ Currys retail park, and there were no signs, so we ended up walking through to Brewery Quay and then finding the way further on.
Once on there it is a good stroll to Ferrybridge, dodging the cyclists. The scenery is varied with great views across the harbour and Portland..
It was good to see a lot of joining points along the way. A castle is just a short distance off the track.
We walked back along the trail and found the start very close to the car park.
