“perfect location and lovely view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2013

I chose this room for myself and my partner because I knew it had a sea view and I love the sound of the sea - very relaxing. The location of the guest house is ideal right on the front right next to the beach and quieter end of Weymouth yet within a good distance of all shops restaurants and the harbour. The details had said the room was a 'small double' and we were happy with the size of the room although a slightly harder mattress would have suited us better. The shower was good there was a fan in the room, and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and good quality ingredients. Our hosts Rob and Linda were helpful and friendly without being intrusive. We had a lovely break - the sun even shined.

Room Tip: there is a good choice of rooms to chose from. Don't choose this one if a) you don't like t...

We were disappointed after staying at this B&B recently loft room was small, which although overlooking the sea found it difficult to sleep due to the noisy sea. View was nice though. The mattress was too big for the frame of the bed & overhung base - uncomfortable bed, bath towels far too small & whilst the building is old, the loft room we stayed in was very tired & dated: could definitely do with a facelift & modernising. The room could easily be redecorated in lovely creams & blues to make a nautical theme. Nice walk into Weymouth. Linda and Rob were very helpful and Rob cooked a lovely breakfast and they were both very accommodating as hosts.

Stayed at this little B&B in July 2012 with my girlfriend for our anniversary. It's a lovely little place right by the beach, however the room we were in was at the back of the building so no beach views from the room itself. The owners were lovely people, very helpful and friendly, and on the last day they offered to let us keep our bags there after we checked out so we could enjoy the sights and go to the shops without being weighed down with our luggage. The only bad thing I could say about the place really is the very early breakfast times... Considering it's a holiday you don't particularly want to wake up at 7.30am every morning to get breakfast. Especially not when they give you very comfy beds, makes it so much harder to get up in the morning. On the second day we got breakfast and then went back to bed. The location is excellent for access to the beach, however it is further away from the restaurants, shops and central town than other hotels in Weymouth, however Weymouth is pretty small so this hardly proves to be a problem. Overall for the price you pay you get a very good place to stay, so it's definitely worth it if you're looking for a quiet, serene holiday by the beach.

Thanks for the lovely review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us.

We have taken note of your comments re breakfast being too early between 8.30 am and 9.30 am, and will look at a later option, although at the moment everybody seems to come down at 8.30 on the dot, maybe the sunshine makes people hungry!

Hope we see you again soon,
Linda and Rob

A quiet and well located B & B by the famous Weymouth beach with some fabulous sea view rooms and a warm welcome on arrival. A fair sized en suite room with a bay window complete with small table and chairs that let you sit and watch the world go by. The option of a full English breakfast sets you up for the day, whether exploring Weymouth itself or visiting the surrounding area. The beach is literally across the road and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves rolling onto the beach. The centre of town is only a few minutes walk away with plenty of choices for lunch and an evening meal. This is one B & B my wife and I will use again.

Room Tip: When booking ask for a sea view room that has a bay window for the best experience.

This was booked for our Mums 70th, as she wanted to visit an old aunt in Portland for the last time. Her comments were glowing, she could not fault this B&B. Room 4 has lovely views from the window seat, well worth the extra tenner a night we paid. The owners pandered to her every need, and she came home well and truly spoilt !!!!

Room Tip: Room 4 is worth the extra tenner for the view from the window seat.

Thank you again Linda and Rob for your hospitality, just what I needed to re-charge. "My Room" over looks the bay and the sun even shone in this morning! There is no doubt this B&B is a gem of a find and also no doubt that I will be back! Hopefully without the gale force wind next time. Thank you Rosa

Dear Rosa

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us again.
It was windy wasn't it. Its a good thing there are no wind turbines in Weymouth, they would have come off their columns! On the bright side we got plenty of bracing sea air :-)
Best Wishes and hope to see you again soon,
Linda and Rob

Travelling out of season for business and picking a room based on price, I had a low expectation but The Redcliff turned out to be a gem. It is located on the seafront, with the beach just across the road, yet is is a quiet spot as this is a cul-de-sac, without passing cars - the perfect combination of peace and quiet whilst close to town. Lovely curved bay window looking out to sea and close enough to the shore that you fall asleep to the sound of the waves on the shingle. And of course, everything you expect - clean room, good shower, cooked breakfast. I'll be back again for pleasure.

Room Tip: Pick a room at the front of the house to fall asleep to the sound of the surf washing the shoreline.

Thank you for your lovely review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. February isn't the most clement month in Weymouth, but it shows a break by the sea can be lovely at any time of the year!
