“Great stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014

We booked in here because our usual hotel was booked but it was a great stay the hosts were fantastic and the food was great. My wife had not long undergone major surgery so needed a mobility scooter it was delivered there and they went out of there way to help us. We would recomend this hotel.

Well what can I say. I don't usually write reviews but this is a tick the box in all categories. First of all it's an ideal location, right on the beach and not to close to all the night life and a casual 10 min walk if that down the sea front to the town. When we arrived we were welcomed by John who was very friendly and accommodating and showed us where we could park our car. He then showed us to our room. We chose one of the loft rooms as it had sea views and thought it would be a little different. This was more than we expected, it was a lovely cosy room which over looked the sea and surrounding coast line. The rooms were always clean and tidy and tea and coffee facilities well stocked up. Breakfast in the morning offered a wide variety of choices from yoghurt, cereals to porridge, fruit, croissants as well as a fantastic full English to state a few and plenty of toast to keep u going all day. Overall a fantastic relaxing few days away and a huge thank you to sue an John for being so friendly and pleasant and making us feel very welcome. Can not wait to come back and see you all soon. Keep up the great work and enjoy every minute. Thank you both again

Kate

Myself my husband and my son stayed at the Redcliff for two nights. The hosts were very welcoming and attentive. My husband and myself stayed in the loft room which had amazing views with the sound of the waves which was very soothing. The room was adequate if a little tired. The climb up to the room is not for everyone and the ceiling heights were also a little tricky. My son stayed in a single room on the next floor down, which again was adequate but could do with some modernisation. Breakfast was fantastic and the hosts very attentive. Parking is limited and I could see that parking would be an issue in peak season, however the hosts did everything they could to organise this. we found the room rates were reasonable for what is on offer. All in all a pleasant stay would visit again.

Room Tip: A sea view on a lower floor!

We stayed at The Redcliff for two nights recently. The hotel is in an ideal location, right on the beach and off the main road so next to no road noise. It's also only a 10-minute walk to the town centre. They also have a car park at the rear of the property.
We had a great room with en-suite bathroom and fantastic sea view.
Breakfast was very good - cereals, fruit, full english and other cooked options.
Rob & Linda were great hosts and gave helpful advice on places to eat, places to visit etc.
No hesitation in recommending The Redcliff.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view room - worth the extra spend.

We stayed in June 2014. You were wonderful hosts, very welcoming with a lovely friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. The loft room was outstanding, breathtaking views of the sea front. Exceptional.

Room Tip: Loft room, magical view.

Stayed here for a few days with a friend and my elderly mother. Linda and Rob are superb hosts, very friendly and helpful. Property is right on the beach so sound of waves at night was quite soothing.(I loved the review from July last year when someone wrote they couldn't sleep as the sea was too noisy!!) We had a few small issues but they are being addressed so I have no real complaints.
Food was excellent. Room not overly spacious but we had good views of the sea from seats in a bay window. There is also a lounge if you don't want to sit in your room. In a good position all round, not far from station, shops and places to eat but far enough if you like peace and quiet. Don't normally do B&B's but would go back here no problem.

i know i've reviewed this place before and i wish to do so again, the sound of the sea swishing on the beach below your window is just says relax your on holiday.this place is run by a very polite and charming couple who are so helpful, the room we had this time was room 7,it's a loft room with great views.the stairs are the only minus but worth it for what's on offer out of the window.we watched a firework display over the harbour the other night and had a great view.the room was lovely and had a great bathroom, the linen is very good it feels nice quality and lovely and fresh.the breakfast was really nice and cooked to perfection,my hubby reckons the sausage is amazing,it was nice i ate it and i'm not fussed on sausage, but it's really tasty ,every thing about the redcliff is what you want from a holiday by the sea.thankyou again
