We stayed for one night. Hotel was in a great location and the views from our double room were fantastic. The room itself was spacious enough. The hospitality was great and the breakfast really nice. The only downside was one of the other guests didn't get in until around 4.30am and decided to go in and out his room every 10-15 mins for whatever reason !.

After much (last minute) searching, I stumbled across this hotel. Having checked out other ratings on tripadvisor, I knew it was good, and my girlfriend and I were not disappointed.

We are a late-20s couple, and we were looking for somewhere quiet to unwind, away from the city. Our room (12) was fabulous - brand new bathroom, and extremely spacious (it used to be two rooms, but has been knocked together), with two beautiful, large sash windows overlooking the beach. The road between the hotel and the beach is actually very quiet, as the main road from the main esplanade runs bethind the hotel, making this location much nicer in our opinion than hotels on the esplanade right in the centre.

At £40pppn, it was fairly priced, and the breakfast was generous, fresh and tasty. We stayed for two nights, and would have loved to stay for longer.

The town itself was really fun, with nice restaurants, a pleasant shopping centre and good restarants ( we loved the Italian, the first restaurant you come to when walking along the beachfront towards the centre from the hotel). A short walk the other way takes you to the excellent Pirate Crazy Golf, and the Sealife Centre.

The beach is shingle opposite the hotel, but within a couple of minutes walk is sandy. Great for young families, as the water remains shallow quite a long way from shore.

We'll definitely be coming back.

The Redcliff is a very well run hotel. The owners are very helpful and friendly and ensure their guest have an enjoyable stay. Our room had a great sea view and we found it very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was excellent and again the service was very good.
The Hotel has a great location a few steps awayfrom the beach.

The Redcliff is a beautiful Georgian building right on the sea front. It has its own carpark, which accomodated all the guests staying that weekend - and it was fully booked. We stayed up in room 7, which does involve a steep staircase, but the views from the top of the building were spectacular, you could see right over the bay all the way to Portland. The ensuite bathroom was spotless and boosted a power shower. The room was clean and had a flat screen tv with freeview channels. Linda and Rob go to every effort to make every guest feel welcome. Would defintiely go back :-)
