Was not looking for comfort just a place to crash after a night on the town. I have stayed at a lot of Weymouth B&Bs and for price this was on a par with them. In fact just booked another weekend. Rooms dated, breakfast cheap but its only a place to sleep beach cleaning and birds permitting.

Room Tip: Sea view on third floor gives you an early wake up call if you leave the window open!

Just returned from a weekend break, stayed in Rm70 up on the 3rd floor with a sea view.

The bad bits.
Not been to a hotel that uses blankets in a long time, mattress has been used for just a little bit to long but it did no spoil my nights sleep. TV was small with limited number of freeview channels, WiFi signal was weak in that room but was a BTopenzone hot spot. At about 06:00 the beach is cleaned and there is you early call on a daily basis. Saturday night you have a club a few doors down and the 'guests' were still partying at 04:30. As this was an attic room you get the low sloping roof on one side of it.

The GOOD bits.
Excellent staff and very help full and friendly (although I did ask for a glass of Grapefruit juice and got a half grapefruit). Breakfast is served to you and not buffet style but was adequate. They do have family rooms, rooms with 3 & 4 singles and more. Certainly can be used for Girl or boy weekends with options! Room was clean and equipped as expected with tea, coffee and hairdryer. Unusually toilet was separate to shower and wash basin. Shower was a bit larger than some and I had room to move around. For a £15 returnable deposit you can get a carparking pass for outside and I left the car there Friday PM until Sunday lunch. That is a must for that part of town. The location is perfect for day and night time, shops and pubs / clubs.
I suspect this could become a regular haunt and will make use of different types of room.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper don't go for a sea view.

Decided to make good of the lovely weather here in the south west , and decided to spend a day and overnight trip in Weymouth . My partner and I wanted something clean cheap and cheerful , got a room at Fairhaven for £49 which was very very reasonable and the location was excellent . We were not expecting too much of the hotel but our room was clean tidy , a little dated but we did get the view of the beach which was lovely , breakfast was as good as any a full english we have had in the past and all in all it was a nice short stay .

Room Tip: Try and get the beach view , use the lift the stairs are narrow and creaky ! I would not recommend t...

We were traveling to Jersey on the Saturday so did not want long drive then 4 1/2hrs on ferry decided to stay in Weymouth on Friday. The hotel was ok breakfast good staff helpful the major problem was there is a night club facing the rear of hotel the revellers going in was bad enough but at 1.30 a karaoke started with loud music following this went on until 4am did not get a wink of sleep so completely nullified the reason for staying the night.

Room Tip: Do not have room at rear of hotel

The hotel is right on the sea front and looks very inviting, but as previous guests have written needs a thorough update and modernising. It was very drab old dark mismatched carpets. Old dark blanket on the bed with a flowered bedspread, haven't seen the like in years. Very small TV on a coffee table in the corner, not easy to watch.
The worse thing was the breakfast!!! No buffet to help yourself to cereals but added to a menu which the waiter presented to us within 20 seconds if us sitting down. Orange juice was cheap and nasty, the only good thing about the cooked breakfast was the poached egg which was cooked well. The rest of the breakfast was tasteless and the coffee was Awful. A very 1960,s experience.
There was a coach party of pensioners there which I can imagine was their main trade.
However the staff were helpful and polite. I would stay there again just for the excellent location.

My wife and i have just returned from our 6th visit to the fairhaven hotel, and will be booking a week in sept/oct for another holiday.
We enjoy our holiday breaks at the hotel and think ourselves fortunate to have found the fairhaven.
We have always received good and friendly attention from all the staff on our arrival and throsugh to our departure.I always book a car parking spot at the hotel in advance asparking is of a premium in Weymouth.
We always book a room at the front of the hotel which is overlooking the esplanade,as we like towatch and feel the hustle and bustle of a happy seaside town, with the children enjoying themselveson the beach ridind the donkey's ect.
The rooms in the hotel are spotlessly clean, serviced everyday including clean towels.
The bathroom is cleaned and seviced every day,the shower over the bath is a good shower with plenty of hot water at anytime.
Breakfast and dinner are served in a pleasant airy dinning room by friendly efficient staff. There is a wide selection on the menu's and the portions are generous. In the basement bar there is entertainment for enyone interested
We [my wife &I] hope to be visiting the fairhaven for many years to come.

Well from the outside it looked ok when i booked it . But should of realised it wasn't really what I was expecting.
The room we had was on the 3rd floor.
The hotel so needs thousands spent on it, to be updated.
A spring mattress, that my grandaughter would love to use as a trampoline. It was also up against a wall making it difficult to get out of if you needed to use the bathroom in the night.
A blanket on the bed & a bedspread that came out the ark.
The sheets , pillowcases & towels were crisp & clean.
On suite was adiquate.
I felt quite young , bless, as it was mostly oap's on their hols.
I was relieved that we only stayed 1 night.
