I have now lost count of how many times I have stayed at the Greenwood Guest House, but the countless visits says it all ! My brother and I very luckly first found this little gem on our first trip to Weymouth around 5 years ago. One visit, never mind countless - was enough to convince us this was the place for us. Sharon and Angela as proprieters could not be more obliging to make your stay comfortable. There is car parking (and secure parking for a motorbike or two !), and the guest house is perfectly situated just outside the main town but easily walkable (even on crutches as I just experienced !). I now take for granted the clean well equipped rooms, the excellent breakfast, and having wonderful hosts - BUT that is because it is what i enjoy consistently, every stay. Is it good value for money ? Absolutely. Would I ever stay anywhere else in Weymouth ? Never. Do I know a good thing when i see it ? You bet !!!

Room Tip: Just explain to the owners what you need, and they will guide you to the most appropriate room they...

We travelled from London to Weymouth and it was a really long journey due to the roadworks all over Dorset. When we arrived at the guesthouse we were greeted with a warm welcome and we were offered refreshments upon arrival. The room was warm, clean and offered everything needed for a short stay. Breakfast was just lovely (any special dietary requirements can be catered for which is great!). A good variety of cereals, jams, yoghurts, juices and fruit as well as a cooked breakfast. The ladies really looked after all the guests and made us feel very welcome.
The property is in a quiet street, but yet only a 5 minute walk to the city centre and no longer than a 10 minute walk to the beach. Weymouth has lots to offer for people of all ages - lots of shops, great for walks, the beach, nature and exploring the south west of England. The train station is down the road, so within easy reach. For a nice meal I would recommend the Balti House on Commercial Road. If you prefer fish & chips, try the Marlboro next to the city bridge (the fish is excellent!).
I would certainly recommend Greenwood Guesthouse to family, friends and anyone wanting to visit Weymouth. We will definitely be back! A little gem in Dorset... R&R

We have stayed at this B & B a few times. Tea and cake on arrival just what was needed, there is parking, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We always sleep well and the breakfasts are wonderful. Weymouth town centre is a short walk over the bridge.Would recommend staying here to all our friends and family.

Our first visit and what a welcome after a long journey. We were given a pot of tea with a piece of fruit cake and some advice on where to eat in the evening and what to see. We had our own ideas on what we wanted and were always guided wisely. Our breakfast was superb, how do they cook the breakfast bacon so consistently perfect? The room was comfortable and always nicely warm and we appreciated being given advice on the operation of the shower. They can be so different in different places. The final touch was that we were warned when we had accidently left the side lights on the car when we arrived from a journey in dull and damp conditions. Thank you Sharon and Angela for making this a very enjoyable visit.

Room Tip: The first floor is an easy climb, even for octogenarians

A stones throw from Weymouth town centre. We stay here every Easter and we always find our time spent here enjoyable and homely. Extra lovely if you are a family as the ladies do everything they can to help you and make it as comfortable as possible.
Lovely breakfasts and tea, biscuits and coffee in our room everyday.
Overall a lovely place to stay. We shall be back next Easter!!

We've lost count of the number of times we have stayed at The Greenwood. Sharon and Angela always give such a warm welcome. The cleanliness and breakfasts are always 'top notch'.and the beds so comfortable. It feels like coming home.

We visited Weymouth for the first time on business and found Greenwood Guest House via Tripadvisor. It was every bit as good as the reviews suggested (and the breakfasts even better!) Sharon and Angela couldn't have taken more trouble over caring for us, and ensuring we were safely out every morning in time for our meetings. We used the wireless internet to catch up on email each evening, which was very useful. We felt really welcome and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. We look forward to visiting again.
