“Excellent service”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

We have returned from a 2-night stay, booked for a birthday/family trip to Alton Towers. The cleanliness of the room was spotless, the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful and there was no noise from traffic at night. Our room was a little on the warm side but Reception did clarify that the heater under the window can be switched off and fans can be requested at any time. The "camp bed" provided in the room wasn't particularly comfortable but the main double bed, and single sofa bed were extremely comfortable. Compliments must go to the breakfast chef in the adjoining Taybarn restaurant - light, fluffy scrambled eggs, freshly cooked food with a very good selection of alternative breakfast choice. The other Taybarn staff were very accommodating to our party of 7. I would certainly recommend this Premier Inn to other guests. Would be great if the hotel offered triple rooms (ie. the double converted into twin, plus a sofabed).

Room Tip: Was on the first floor, overlooking the rear car park

A lovely, clean hotel to stay in.-the beds are so comfortable and I would love some of their pillows for my own bed-The staff are always there with a smile on their face and a warm greeting-the food is excellent and there's always enough and there is so much choice whether you want a light meal or a big meal-its a "home from home" and we're always sad when it comes to leaving!

We've just left after a very sleepless night. Good night guarantee I'm not so sure about! This premier inn definitely has different beds....almost a springy as my daughter's trampoline. ......room was unbearably hot. Food was ok, plentiful and fresh certainly good value, although very noisy and rather smelly........ a chemical smell! Disappointing given most premier inns are great

We have just returned from our two night stay at this Premier Inn, I can not fault it at all.
We were greeted with a very nice welcome, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious, everything is spotless.
Didn't hear any noises during the night, you wouldn't even know you were near a main road.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, 5 star in my opinion!!!

We travelled as 2 families of 4. Hotel was easy to find.
The restaurant on site proved to be popular with locals as well as guest so when we arrived at the hotel (around 6.40pm) there were no parking spaces around the front so we had to park right around the back which was quite a long walk considering we had small children and cases to get safely to the entrance. I'd suggest signposts reserving spaces out front for hotel guests only! My husband returned to our car (around 9.30pm) after our meal to grab something we had left in the car, and was able to move the car round to the front ready for the morning.
We were welcomed by a lovely receptionist. Check in and out was quick and easy. We had rooms on the ground floor. The hotel website states that the hotel in on a busy road and so there is double glazing to reduce noise - we didn't experience any noise and had a very peaceful, comfortable nights sleep.
The rooms and bathrooms were clean and fresh. There were only three plug sockets in the room, each being used by an appliance (tv, kettle and hairdryer) so we had to unplug two of these so we could charge our phones.
Overall, we had a nice stay and I'd recommend this Premier Inn.

Whilst spending an appalling Friday night at a near by "hotel" we called the Premier Inn to book the Saturday night with them. The young man on the phone could not be more helpful. Was very impressed considering it was gone midnight when we phoned. All of the staff we met at reception were efficient and friendly. As with other Premier Inn's we've stayed at it appears that the company train their staff to really care about their guests. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The only down fall was that it was a little on the cold side when we entered. We were equally impressed with the Tye Barns next door. Having visited several times before with family, it did not disappoint. I'm surprised at the complaint about the restaurant. At all you can eat/drink for £10 head you are hardly going to get a fine dining experience. However, the food is good! And the staff are fantastic, always friendly and polite even when it is busy. On arrival for dinner we were warned that it may be a 30 minute wait (to be expected on a weekend at 7pm) however, we were shown to our table within 5 minutes. The breakfast service was always great, the standard premier inn breakfast was varied and tasty and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My husband had some fresh poached eggs made for him which was perfectly cooked. Yes, the premier Inn may not be the most glamorous place to stay but they are excellent value for money and at least you are guaranteed to get a clean, comfy room for the night.

Have used this hotel a number of times and each time it has been a very pleasant stay, very quite at night and get a good night sleep. Staff are always friendly and ready to help if necessary. The location for us is very good, but may not be for everyone.
