“Our last minute trip away”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

Even though the weather outside was cold & miserable, we received a warm & inviting welcome to The Cranleigh. Our room, number 13, was one of the nicest places the pair of us have ever stayed in, we couldn't fault it whatsoever &would whole heartedly recommend this to any of our family and friends. We will definitely be returning in the very near future. Many other hotels & guest houses in the area should take note of what an absolutely stunning establishment the Cranleigh really is. 10 out of 10.

Room Tip: Thoroughly recommend room 13, perfect in every way.

Professional, personal, excellent service. Made to feel so welcome, brilliant advice on choice of restaurants. The room was so nice, the choice of breakfast and quality was great. Made 1 little boob, but hey it was sorted in seconds. The spa was a little further away than I had pictured at a different Hotel but was great too.

With out a doubt the best place i have stayed. The Cranleigh was recommended by a friend. Dont want to tell too many friends as may not be able to get booked in next time. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough to help. The attention to detail. The rooms were not showing any signs of wear, they were so clean. We stayed in room 12 the spa bath was luxury the lighting gave great atmosphere and TV. Great big bed, crisp like new bedding, rose petals, chocolates and Iced bucket with champagne really did make it very special. Breakfast was fantastic great welcoming services. Stayed two nights. The first day my partner asked me to marry him so he ordered another bottle of champagne for our second night. We Came back after day out to find room back spotless, I am sure we had new fresh towels, bubble bath had all been re stocked. The bed re made with more rose petals in heart shape on the bed more complimentry chocolates and a card from the hotel congratulating us on our engagement. The hotel made a special weekend even more memorable. Will definatley be going again superb. The owners need to know what a wounderful team of staff they have working for them which really are an assett to the place.

We stayed here for two nights for our anniversary. The location is great less than 5 minutes from the centre of Bowness. We stayed in Room 5, the room had really lovely decor, all mod cons, beautiful bathroom with spa bath & TV. The offer we booked included a bottle of champagne, chocolates & rose petals on the bed, very romantic I must say! I could not find a single fault with the hotel, staff couldnt do enough for you, breakfast was lovely. We would definately stay here again and have no worries in recommending to other people.

Stayed at the Sanctuary January 2012
An absoloutley fantastic stay, from the second we arrived we were made to feal so welcome. We were shown to our room that was beutifully set up, the fire was roaring mood lighting on and champagne was on ice. The lady explained how everything worked and where everything was. Everything was just perfect. Town was a slow 2 minute walk away but i was loathed to leave what is indeed a sanctuary. Breakfast was served to the room and the quality was first class.

Room Tip: If you only do it once book the Sanctuary

A surprise Valentines night away and what a wonderful surprise it was. From the moment you step into the building you are in awe of the decor and attention to detail - from the rose petals on the beautiful comfy4 poster bed to the upstairs with its fully fitted kitchen complete with complimentary Continental breakfast in the fridge and chilled champagne just ready to enjoy. The lounge area is modern style hi tec luxury-you want for nothing from 3D tv with a wide range of films to choose from to state of the art music system all enjoyed relaxing on a huge sofa.
A little bit of heaven so close to home.A fantastic experience thank you.Just ask at The Cranleigh for details for making it a time to remember.

We have just come back from a weekend in Bowness celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. The hotel was fantastic and we had a great time. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and breakfast was one of the best we've had in a hotel. Great location as well as it is within easy walking distance of great pubs, restaurants and of course the beautiful scenery. Would highly recommend and we'll certainly be returning!
