we stayed at the cranleigh and it was exactly like it said it would be, absolutely gorgeous would definetley recommend a stay, the staff were most welcoming and the rooms were immaculate and decorated to a very high standard, the champagne and chocs were a nice touch so if you want to spoil yourselves the cranleigh is the place to go.

We stayed in the Cranleigh for the second time, first visit was for our very special 1st Wedding Anniversary and this time.... For our 2nd Anniversary. We loved it so much the first time we knew we just had to go back! What can I say? .... Fabulous, just like the first time.
We loved our room so much the first time (Room 8), that we decided to stay in the very same room this time round.

We arrived at check-in time, 3pm. We were greeted by the Manager, Emma who is warm, polite and ever so friendly and welcoming. My Husband checked us in and I sat in the gorgeous Lounge looking through some local Restaurant menus and a lovely member of staff approached me and gave some great advice on where best to eat.
We were shown to our room and it was gorgeous... again! My Husband had ordered us a bottle of Sparkling Rose to celebrate with on our arrival and there in an ice bucket was our wine...... With a little something extra...... A bottle of CHAMPAGNE!
I thought the Champagne was put in our room by mistake and so when we were on our way out to explore the surrounding area, we mentioned this to Emma who kindly explained to us that actually, this was a gift from the Cranleigh to myself and my Husband, for our Anniversary. We were touched :) ..... Can I just say a big big Thank You again, very much appreciated!.

We arrived back to our room later in the evening and after looking through the extensive DVD list that the Cranleigh has to offer, we ordered 2 DVDs and 2 drinks from the drinks menu. They were brought up promptly.

After a lovely nights sleep in the gorgeous bed, we both had to peel ourselves up and out and went down to Breakfast.... It.. was.. beautiful!!!.. I had toast and porridge and then a couple of poached eggs. The porridge was yummy and the eggs cooked to perfection.

We were absolutely gutted to leave the next day but are already planning our break at the Cranleigh again very soon.

I'd like to take this opportunity to Thank you Emma, and all your Team for making us feel so welcome and look forward to visiting again!!

We stayed at the Cranleigh as part of a Living Social offer which made our stay extremely good value. The room was spotless and contained a jacuzzi type bath with a flat screen tv on the bathroom wall. The bath was 'self cleaning' and the shower had a powerful 'rainfall' shower head. Even the toilet lid was a slow closing one so not to accidentally get slammed. It was like they had thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. We had champagne and chocolates on arrival (as part of the deal). Each night there was a boxed chocolate on the pillow which was a nice touch. Breakfast was also wonderful and the dining area is tastefully decorated. We would definitely return and wouldnt hesitate to pay full price.

This was a lovely, lovely guesthouse and I really enjoyed my short stay here. I'd really recommend it and can't find anything even remotely negative to say about it.

My room had been newly and stylishly decorated to a high quality (when I walked into the bathroom I went WOW!, took a load of pictures and vowed to decorate mine in the same way). My room faced the road but the traffic could not be heard through the window.

The place was clean and the staff were pleasant.

Don't know what more to say really!

Our room was gorgeous and the service was great too. They think of everything and little touches like chocolates on your pillow make it really special. We went on a living social deal and it turned out to be pretty pricey, but I think the money was worth it for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend away. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Room 12! It's beautiful.

Great location for a visit to Bowness, just a few minutes walk into the town and to the lake. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and tidy, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Two small grumbles: for a guest house, and with a modestly sized room (even though it was classified as 'luxury'), £150 is top-end pricing; and because it was fully occupied on our third night, we were forced to park off site in a car park that felt far from secure. Even so we would recommend the Cranleigh strongly and definitely return again.

Room Tip: Go for the best you can afford - rooms are quite small for the price, albeit very well equipped
