Stayed a couple of days in April. The hotel's located only a short walk from Bowness town centre and has adequate parking to the rear. We were welcomed by both Brian and Margaret, the friendly owners. Our room, although clean needed a lick of paint and furniture updating. Having said that, it's not marketed as a five star establishment hence me commenting on it being good value. The breakfasts were very good and served with a smile. Taking into account the somewhat dated room facilities, I'd still recommend the Elim Bank and I'm sure we'll revisit in the future.

A lovely, cosy, clean B&B with friendly hosts. The location is great for Bowness & the breakfast was very nice. We found this B&B very good value for the money.

I haven't stayed in this hotel but I've just phoned to book a family room and I'm completely shocked at the rudeness of the owner. His response was 'They will be supervised will they?' When I said pardon he replied 'What I said. We had a similar party where the children ran amock'. What a rude man. Why do they advertise family rooms if they don't want families to stay? How rude to assume that all children will left unsupervised and behave badly because of one bad experience.

What a beautiful stay. Brian and Margaret were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a few minutes from the lake and bowness. The room was a great size, and very clean. The breakfast was great... absolutely no complaints!

booked a family room in this guest house / hotel at the beginning of July. Easy to find and well located in the road that joins Windermere to Bowness. a short walk to restaurants, shops and the shores of the lake where you can book a trip on the many boats, or spend time feeding the ducks and swans.
The hotel its self is a traditional build, and is very much what you would expect in the price range. Our room was clean and spacious and the couple who own and run the hotel could not have been nicer. There were no airs and graces about the place, just a warm reception, a comfy bed and a full breakfast to die for. The lady of the house was spot on with her bacon and eggs. Don't expect the Hilton - but for convenience and congeniality - spending two or three days here was a pleasure
