Had a 2 night stay here. On arrival greeted by andre and he was very polite, upgraded to the four poster room which was a lovely bright room with big windows. Room was clean but let down by broken loo roll holder and bulbs out on the table lamps and lack of towels. There were 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels, no face cloth and would of prefered bath sheets, as a woman its nice 2 wrap a towel around yourself when getting out of the shower. Hotel situated in an ideal spot, did say licenced when booking and took that as there would be a bar but there wasnt, only a fridge in the lounge where you could take a soft drink and it would be added to your bill. Had a good night sleep, breakfast was very dissapointing and felt products were of cheap quality on the full english so 2nd day just had scrambled eggs and bacon which was better, but the beverages tasted like they were a budget brand. Did feel that we were on the mark as we overheard other diners making similar comments. Having said this the hosts were very nice and accomodating. Did feel though it was overpriced for what it was.

The room was very comfortable and cosy, with an en-suite, tv, fresh towels daily, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities with biscuits, which were stocked daily.
Breakfast was excellent, very friendly service, and a nice dining room. Delicious full english cooked breakfast as well as a range of fruit, yoghurts and toast etc
The guest lounge/ conservatory was cosy too, somewhere to relax after a busy day walking etc!!!
The hosts had a good knowledge of the local area, places to go and visit and where to eat out, they were very helpful.
Free Wifi available to all guest to use.
Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay (even if it rained for most of the weekend!!) We will definately be back again! Excellent Value too!!!

From the very start of parking up, Andre greeted us in the carpark, took our heavy suitcase to reception, booked us in, gave us a brief insight to the area, where to eat etc, then showed us to our room, again, carrying our suitcase.
The room was comfortable, with an en-suite, tv (which we didn't use), iPod dock (which we did use), tea/coffee facilities, with biscuits, which are stocked daily.
Breakfast is excellent, with superb & friendly service, and a cosy room to dine in.
Attention to detail is our hosts speciality, offering ice for our Bacardi, which we brought locally, bags for muddy boots, fresh towels when required, information for local areas, best places to dine in....etc etc.
Overall a satisfied and happy experience.

We walked in on spec, & it was spot on, right from the start. The owner & his wife were welcoming, discreet & relaxed. The whole place is spotlessly clean; the room was comfortable & quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. The real plus, & the reason we will go straight back here, was the owners' attitude, which was friendly without being OTT, & which made us feel at ease & happy to be there.

Room Tip: nice lake viewpoint nearby

Excellent value. Excellent taste both in the common areas an in the room we stayed.
The only problem was that the WiFi was very unstable, but besides that we really enjoyed our stay.
