Just returned from a two night break at Fayrer Garden Hotel. We chose a Superior lake view room which was very nice. We were very lucky with the weather and had a couple of sunny warm days/evenings and therefore we were able to sit out on the patio enjoying a drink before our evening meal. The food was excellent as were the staff in the dining room. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

We stayed here for 2 nights BB in January having booked an offer from KGB deals. Arrived at the hotel and enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea in the lounge overlooking the lake as part of the offer. We were lucky to be upgraded from our garden view room to a lake view room with a jacuzzi bath as another couple had refused this room and asked to change - so a huge thank you to the staff on duty that afternoon. The hotel was perfect for us to be able to enjoy a short break in the beautiful Lake District. We would definitely recommend the hotel and hopefully will stay there again in the future.

We stayed here for one night (DBB) for our silver wedding anniversary. The room was lovely, fantastic views of Lake Windermere and the fells behind and the whirlpool bath was so relaxing! The meal was really nice and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We would definitely recommend it and hopefully will stay again sometime. (We did stay on a special deal & it's definitely worth looking out for them on the Internet - it makes the luxury affordable!)

Room Tip: Stayed in room 22. Fantastic views. Whirlpool bath lovely.

Stayed for midweel break at end of March during hot weather spell - stunning views of Windermere with sunshine and blue skies made for a memorable visit.Excellent offer through GBH and we had a lovely dinner both nights(but same menu each night).Dining room was full - always a good sign.No draught beer in bar though.
Good room with patio and garden access on ground floor.TV was rubbish and tuning in impossible.
Attitude of all members of staff was first class so we had a very good stay and would return.
Investment required to spruce place up and garden needs attention.Suggests a shortage of funds at Hotel.

Room Tip: Book early.

Stayed in April on a DBB basis, staff friendly & competent, rooms very clean & well appointed, would have been better still if more money had been spent on sound insulation between rooms, the food was very good, the only complaints being that the dinner menu did not change during our stay and the inclusion of imported Foie Gras on the menu, the production of which is not allowed in the UK. We would stay again

Room Tip: Choose a room at first floor level and then choose between a Lake or Garden view.

My husband and I stayed at the Fayrer Garden for our 1st wedding anniversary. MY first experience with the hotel was booking the stay. I came across an offer on groupon but the dates when we wanted to stay fell 1 day outside the offer dates. However, the management kindly still agreed to honour the offer for which I am so grateful.

We upgraded and stayed in a four-poster bed room. When we arrived we were greeted at the door and showed to our room which was beautiful. I was so excited. On the morning of our anniversary we woke up early and wanted to have a bubble bath before breakfast only to find that there was no hot water. The manager went out of her way to help us. Although the problem could not be fixed which was somewhat inconvenient, the manager really did go out of her way to make up for it.

We would definitely go back and stay there again. Plus the place is dog friendly so next time we will take our girls along too!

And by the way, the food in the restaurant is to die for!

Stayed here in March as part of the KGB deals offer but upgraded the room to a superior room which was on the top floor and had a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel is beautiful and the service fabulous. The food in the restaurant is well recommended and I will definitely visit again.
