“Family break to celebrate 60th birthday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2014

Everything was as I had hoped. The Kennedy family and the staff at Lindeth Fell fulfilled all my wishes for my birthday celebration. The sparkling tea was so enjoyable and the birthday cake was scrumptous.
Eleven of the family had a 3 day stay at Lindeth Fell. The bedrooms were comfortable and we took advantage of all the facilities including playing crochet and flying kites on the lawns.
The staff's attention to detail, the service and the quality of the food were first class.
I recommend the Lindeth Fell to everyone.

We have been coming to this wonderful hotel since 2005. The Kennedy family never fail to spoil us. The standard of the accommodation and the quality of the food is first class. I can't recommend the Lindeth Fell highly enough.

My friend and I visited for afternoon tea on her birthday. Upon booking I informed them that she was gluten and dairy intolerant and they really came to the party! She had her own tier on the stand and seperate sandwiches....forcing herself to eat the whole lot as she enjoyed it so much! On top of that the staff were kind and friendly even sprinkling little happy birthdays on her plate. Also very pretty gardens and surrounds

We pre-booked afternoon tea for 4 back in May as a surprise treat for a friend's 60th birthday. The staff were extremely helpful, and emailed the booking on the hotel headed paper, so that we could print it out & give it to the birthday girl on the morning of our visit. This worked really well. The hotel grounds are stunning, with glimpses of Lake Windermere glistening in the distance. We were shown to our table, which had been decorated with table birthday confetti; complete with silver teapot & tea strainers. We had a truly delicious tea, dainty sandwiches, lemon drizzle ,meringues, cookies, shortbread and scones with jam & cream. Utterly decadent and absolutely delicious. We all made a valiant effort to eat everything. Nothing was too much trouble, with attentive service, and several refills for the teapot. 10/10

Just returned from a very relaxing time in this hotel. The staff were extremely accommodating during our first holiday away with our almost 4 month old daughter. A waitress held our daughter at breakfast time so we could enjoy the delicious food and we also enjoyed a four course evening meal in our room as our baby played at the side of us. The view from the room was stunning. The staff could not have done more for us. Although expensive, the service and welcoming nature was worth it!

Brilliant, just brilliant and welcoming and professional and caring attitudes .... what else can I say about Lindeth Fell, well from the moment we arrived we were greeted with such a warm welcome and every courtesy was offered us. We had an overview of the Hotel, escorted to our room and a run through for meal times etc. We found the room very comfortable, very clean and so spacious. The staff were all so attentive in attending the room in between our time at meals or out for the day and we were always welcomed within the beautiful grounds, or just allowed to sit in the lounge areas. Food was delicious and of great quality and presentation and again the service was so attentive. If you are going to Cumbria, you must, simply must stay at the Lindeth Fell. My thanks go to everyone who made our stay so pleasant, from owners through all the staff and not forgetting Amber!

My husband and I have just spent 2 wonderful nights at Lindeth Fell as a gift. Our second child is due in the next 7 weeks, and so a weekend of rest and relaxation was required; this is exactly what we got. The hotel is beautiful with fabulous gardens and views. I agree totally with a previous post that hotel owners should be sent here to see how things should be properly run. We stayed in the Windermere Suite which was extremely comfortable and had lovely views out of the front of the hotel onto the gardens, and out over Lake Windermere. We were definitely blessed with the weather for the entirety of our stay and so managed to enjoy a good few hours in the garden with drinks and a good book. The food throughout the stay was thoroughly delicious, and of an exceptionally high standard. Breakfast, which I think is always a good test of a hotel, was wonderful, with a selection of fruits, yoghurts and cereals, followed by various cooked options. We left the hotel after 2 nights feeling rejuvenated, well looked after, and ready to tackle a toddler and a new born! We highly recommend this hotel.
