Reviewed 16 March 2012

We have just returned from a birthday celebration stay at the Burn How Windermere -a first class hotel located in a quiet spot within five minutes walk from the lake and blessed with large and very comfortable bedrooms.
The restaurant is warm and welcoming and the food excellent, imaginative and well presented.
The staff are all very helpful and pleasant.
Well worth a visit!

Excellent room. Excellent service.
Having stayed at numerous hotels in the Lakes over the years, we have to say the food was without doubt the best ever. Each course of the evening dinner was wonderful - congratulations to the chef. Will be visiting again and would recommend the Burn How to any traveller.

had a wonderful time at this hotel. Could.nt fault anything. The shalet was lovely decorated, spacious, and very clean. We have stayed in Bowness a few times in the past and this was definately the best we have stayed. The food was excellent, and the staff very friendly. Location excellent. What more can I say, 100% would go back again.

I stayed here for 1 night with my girl pal as a christmas treat!!
Its hard to find hotels in Bowness that do 1 night stays at weekend but thanks to Booking.com we found this gem.
Couldnt fault anything, we had a Garden Chalet which was very large 1 double and 1 single bed and a lovely clean bright bathroom.
Reception was warm and welcoming with pleasant staff hepful staff.
After a lovely evening in Bowness and a good night sleep we headed into the hotel for breakfast - great selection of fruit and cereals. Excellent selection of hot choices. Good attentive service.
All in all i would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks for making our night away great.
