We have a daughter who is a life long Beatrix Potter fan. We knew she would want to go and all expected an insight into our daughter's love and our childhood memories. An hour to park didn't prove worthwhile when greeted with excuses about just returning from Chelsea, and poor technology. £20 and we were done in 20 mins - 10 of which were spent waiting for the terribly synced intro film. When I complained about the technology not working I was told they were happy for me to spend all day until the technology was repaired going around a couple of models. Total waste of time and money.

Everybodys heard of beatrix potter and the stories she created from peter rabbit-todd fox ,also watched for the mechanised large clock in the museum very interesting, note its not cheap to go around stuff is pricey.

Very well done attraction involving a short film and then an interactive walk through all the stories written by Beatrix Potter. Fun and educational for kids. Nice garden, shop and tearoom too.

Whilst staying in Bowness we noted an advert for afternoon tea at the Beatrix Potter Experience. Its worth noting that you do not have to pay to go into the exhibition if you don't want. Just tell the admission staff that you are going to the cafe/restaurant and you are waved through,
We had a lovely afternoon tea with sandwiches ( ham or cheese), cakes ( the brownies were particularly nice) and wonderful scones with fabulous clotted cream all served on the ubiquitous cake stand. Well worth going and even just for a coffee and cake.
