“You have to visit this place.”

Stumbled across this fantastic tea room and grill. The welcome was very warm and service was excellent. We was amazed with the quality of the food all fresh and there was plenty. The owner introduced himself and he even recomended the local pub hole in the wall for a drink after which was really good. very oldie world'y. Thank you St.Martins for a beautiful lunch.

“Welcoming, homely and friendly on a wet windy day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 December 2013

Came across these tea rooms after a bracing walk in the wind and rain !
The welcome was warm, with good food and quality service...the tea was served from a china pot, cup and saucer, a nice homely touch
Thank you

“Home made cakes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 December 2013

A lovely little cafe - run by the owner and friendly staff - we were a bit wet and muddy from the fells but we're welcomed in and given a towel and a heater whilst are food was being prepared. Nice fresh local food served by genuinely caring people - if your in bowness pop in you won't be disappointed - good old fashioned value and service - thanks see you soon

“Lovely little place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 December 2013 via mobile

We were wandering round Bowness and decided to stop somewhere for a drink and a warm, this was the perfect place to do just that. The owners were very welcoming, we had hot drinks, cakes and a toastie, I can't speak for the other drinks but the hot chocolate was delicious and came with plenty of cream and marshmallows. The cakes were really nice too as was the cheese toastie, just what we needed on a cold day. After we paid the bill the owner brought a paper bag with candy canes and shortbread over for the youngest member of the group which was a lovely touch. Dogs are welcome and it's very reasonably priced, somewhere I'd definitely visit again if I was in the area.
