I was told by a local this is the oldest pub in Bowenss, and THE place to go if you want proper pub food. I wasn't disapointed. It's full of character, everywhere you look there is something to put a small on your face with unsual trinkets and taxidermy. The food comes quick and is cheap, bit portions...think fish pies, scampi and chips, steak and kidney pudding, curry. You can't go wrong. We went in the height of summer but I can imagine it's the perfect place to hideaway in the winter next to the open fire.
