Luckily we saw this place set back from the road. Probably the nicest B&B we stayed in during our UK trip. The room was huge with a large window overlooking the lake. Everything we needed was there and the free wifi was just the icing on the cake. Didn't have to get up too early for breakfast and what a great start to the day that was.

Room Tip: Top floor at the front are the best rooms with very little road noise

We had an excellent stay at Lingwood and will recommend the same without any reservation.

Very clean and spacious room, close to the activities, excellent breakfast and a very charming host.

The building is relatively new and it's not exactly a "B&B" in the sense that the proprietor may not live there and it certainly isn't as if you're staying at someone's home, BUT if you don't mind that, it's really a great place to stay. It's virtually on the lake, a short walk to town. The bed was our most comfortable, the shower and bathroom worked well, the room was immaculate, the breakfast included more choices than most. The owner thought of a lot of little things that made the stay even more pleasant, like water and cookies in the room. I felt like she was on the ball and we could really relax.

A very nice and well-equipped B&B! Excellent service and very clean! It is located very to the pier, just walk within 5-10', very convenient and quiet! Judy is very helpful and shows care and concern about the guests.

We got a last minute booking, the weekend of the airshow so were very lucky! Lingwood Lodge is in a great location - just minutes walk from the lake which is what you want as it means you can leave your car at the B&B - parking can be a problem in Bowness, particularly of a weekend.
Our room wasn't huge but was adequate, and the bathroom was a good size with a decent shower - girls with long hair will know how important this is! - towels were fluffy and white and bedding was lovely.
One thing which was thought out (again the ladies will appreciate this!) the location of plug sockets and mirrors was well thought out - you could actually dry your hair whilst being able to see what you were doing!
The breakfast was lovely - the homemade marmalade was gorgeous! and the coffee strong and hot. the cooked breakfast was made to order with good quality ingredients.
We loved our stay here and just wished it was longer. The only negative i had was the lilies in a vase on the landing. The smell gave me asthma but that is the only negative!
