This B&B was perfect for us - it was quaint with roses and other flowers around the door. The situation was very central and within walking distance of the lake and surrounding town. The room was clean with comfortable beds and the breakfast was very tasty. The owner was friendly and welcoming but not at all intrusive. Parking was close by and information was provided on all restaurants, pubs and cafés in the area which was very helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities were in the room and the shower/bathroom was adequate with lots of hot water. I would definitely return to this place. There are a lot of stairs to get to the rooms so it may not be suitable for people with walking difficulty.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room ask for one at the back as it was a bit noisy late at night - there was double glazing but it was too warm to close the window.

We booked this B&B due to its location, which is definitely 4 star. The B&B itself, wasn't great though. It was so hot inside that we had to sleep with the windows wide open, which meant it was really noisy. Our room was pretty small, which was fine. But pretty dated and worn. The bed was a total nightmare. It had those sprung boards underneath the mattress and they kept falling out of place. Unfortunately, the B&B was full, so we couldn't change rooms. My fiancé had to fashion a quick fix so that we could sleep on it.

The breakfast was nice and the morning staff were lovely. The parking was a bit of a nightmare, as we had to park up a steep hill behind another B&B, so trailing our luggage up and down was not fun!

I can't fault the location, but I don't think we'd stay here again. The photos are obviously pretty old and it's definitely not worth £100 per night.

The B & B was perfect as usual as we have stayed before. This hotel has changed hands but the new host was not as welcoming as previous owner. It was a case of there's your room next day pay your money then good bye. A little warmer greeting and farewell would be nice. Apart from that food was good and location excellent

As I have not been on trip advisor long this review is late coming, the hotel was worth every penny for my wife and myself who stayed here a couple of years ago .,but we told our daughter and she stayed last year, and she agreed that the place is ideally situated, everything is inside a 5minute walk, pubs, eating places, the lake etc. the breakfast is ample and sets you up for the day the room we had right over the front door was big everything in it ,tea making, good reception on TV,loverly view, the host were very helpful, nothing any trouble, clean, the only downside was the owner was a evertonian and I am a liverpool fan ,but you can'not have everything

Room Tip: Over the front door

Location is brilliant, breakfast fabulous and everyone is wonderful. The only room available at the time of booking was a small double, which yes is small but for a couple of nights is more than adequate, comfortable with on-suite did us fine.
