We stay here on a regular basis in a lodge on the glade, excellent location we never use the car once it's parked up.food good in boathouse but staff can be quite rude,we have a 3 yr old who likes to go on the park but this time wasn't possible due to older kids just hanging around in there on the equipment using language I don't want my little boy to hear, when I asked them to stop you can imagine the replies I got.maybe staff need to monitor this area bit more. not a pleasant experience

We are just back from a week in a superior plus caravan. The van itself was lovely with everything you need. As someone else had reviewed the prices in the shop on sight was very reasonable with a good supply of essentials.
The park is ideally situated for walking into town -5 mins - and the town itself is a lovely place to spend the day.

The only negative was some of the caravans and lodges are up quite steep hills so its worth checking before you go. A really enjoyable holiday and we definitely be back.

Just returned after a weeks stay in a superior caravan,,we arrived early, luckily our caravan was ready so we were able to have the keys, but the receptionist did give the 'well it's normally 4pm check in' talk!!
Our caravan was situated opposite the barn/deli and reception and 2 minute walk to park entrance!!
Caravan slept 4,but was only 2 of us,,did and had everything we needed!!
Fallborrow itself was a lovely site to wander round,,you can certainly tell the more expensive lodges and caravans!!!
I was really surprised to see that the park was situated on the edge of Lake Windermere,,as sometimes the description doesn't exactly comply with what you get!! Well this did!! It was lovely to go down to the lake at different times of the day,as this brought different reflections on the lake and surrounding areas:)
Bar area on the park was good, drinks reasonably priced,,a glass of wine came in the little bottles which was quite nice,,staff all seemed friendly,,the barn/deli was lovely,,had coffee and lunch all good price for the amount you got! Shop wasn't over expensive,as some holiday parks usually are!!!
The walk into Bowness,,was a 2 minute walk from where are caravan was,,very easy and on the flat!!i have a heart condition and managed it very easily!!
Bowness itself was lovely!!:) plenty of little gift shops, and bars and restaurants!!
To get to surrounding areas it was easy,,and nothing more then a 20-30minute drive to far out places.
Will definitely be returning to Fallbarrow,,for the location, and price,,we couldn't go wrong!!
One word of advice,,Bowness only has a tesco express and co-op no supermarket, nearest supermarket asda was Kendal!! Do take shopping with you!! Besides that everything was fab!!:)

What a perfect place to stay. The staff were so helpful, nothing too much. The cleanliness was evident, the facilities perfect and such a great location. I really recommend this park for anyone who wants a lovely caravan/lodge in a beautiful setting with excellent facilities.

We were recommended this site from a friend who visited with family.
We were on a camper van trip around the UK and did not have reservations so chanced turning up hoping for a pitch. This was not a problem and the lady at front desk was very friendly and took the time to go through the local map pointing out various attractions nearby. Nice touch :)

Although the park was very busy due to kids school holidays we were given a nice, fairly quiet pitch not far from reception, shop and toilets/showers.

Each campervan/caravan pitch is kind of secluded and covered on 3 sides with high bushes which gives a nice bit of privacy.
The site is right on the banks of Lake Windermere which can be accessed from the back of the park :)

A 10 min stroll along Rayrigg Road takes you in to the lovely town of Windermere and all the shops, bars, restaurants etc.

There is a shop on site which stock all the usual items needed at a very reasonable price!.

We were only booked in for a night but decided to stay for a second. As we were heading out early morning we were told to just call around midday and re-book our pitch which shouldn't be a problem. It wasn't. :)

Although we didn't explore much of the park due to being busy with attractions etc, it was a very nice, clean park by what we could see.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review was due to the lack of (only 2 male showers in the nearest block) and cleanliness of toilets with it being a 5 star rated park.

We look forward to coming back!

** Top tip, if crossing the Lake, take the A592 down through the town then on to B5285 to the car ferry. 4 pound 30p for a car. BE THERE BEFORE 9AM IN PEAK MONTHS OR THE TRAFFIC IS CRAZY! We timed it perfect and were first on. The traffic then back up past the 40 minute wait sign!.**

**GoApe is also just across the Lake in Grizedale forest. Very fun and definitely worth a visit.** :)

We book to rent these lodges every year. We book x2 superior lodges every nov/dec and we use all 6 rooms, We book a friday to monday visit and it is just enough to have a good weekens, Day 1 you gets sorted day 2 the men play golf at windermere and day three we all go on a trip somewhere as there is loads in the area. Us fellas like this site as it is luxuary accomadtion and a 5 min walk from all the pubs and resurants. Even in the winter time it provides warm rooms with bathrooms and double glasing. ideal for all the family no matter the age group, The chrismas light turn on weekend is good as it has a parade and a general chrismassy feel to it.

Room Tip: book the top one
