A wonderful old pub: ancient flagstones and open fire; variety of beers and excellent food - what more could the visitor want? We have eaten in both the bar and the upstairs restaurant - both are excellent. It can get very busy however so it's best to get there before 7.30 at the weekend. Staff are very good; helpful, polite and friendly. The outside seating area has views down over the valley towards Bowland Bridge - a lovely relaxing place for a drink or a coffee.
