We recently stayed here for 1 night on our way to Scotland after going to the South Lakes Zoo (well worth a visit) and I'm glad we did! Janis is so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely room No.5 which was great for us as it has an extra little room all of it's own for our daughter (aged 4) to sleep in and she felt like a big girl and called it her princess room.

The room and en-suite was spotless and beautifully decorated (by Janis) as was the rest of the house, we were very impressed, much better than staying in other cheaper notational hotels.

Breakfast was very yummy, well cooked and plenty of it. Off road parking which was a bonus.

What more can I say other than, THANK YOU Janis and we will be back x

Room Tip: Pick room 5 if you have kids and want them in their own room, it's at the top of the stairs thou...

You won't go wrong here with Janis to look after you! Rooms are comfortable and quiet due to the layout of the house. Spotlessly clean in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Breakfasts are really nice - nothing forgotten - eggs how you want them and plenty to choose from. Value for money is excellent compared with more well known budget chains in the area, especially if you are looking for somewhere last minute.
Would stay again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Room 3 is a smaller double but very clean.

Just had the best 3 week stay in this fabulous B and B. Janis goes out of her way to ensure you have the ideal stay ~ great breakfasts, plenty of choice and all presented to perfection. I had room 3 which was spacious, had everything I needed and was beautifully fitted out. Would be an absolute delight to return soon!!

Jamie.

The staff (Janis) is very friendly and takes personal honour in preparing breakfast. She even offers a "starter" to enjoy whilst cooking the breakfast. The room we stayed in was nice, good beds. Coffee and tea available in the room with a daily delicious cookie.

Room Tip: We stayed in the twin-bedroom top room, or the family room with two bedrooms. Ideal for families wit...

Greenbank is an outstanding guest house. I stayed for 4 nights on business in room 5. This is a family room which has recently been redecorated. It is very spacious, the en suite bathroom is spotless and the shower is excellent. Janis the owner is extremely friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Breakfast was superb and a lovely choice of cereals, juices, yoghurt a and hot food is available. I cannot speak highly enough and would not hesitate to stay at Greenbank again.

The owner Janice was really welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. The room was well sized, warm, comfortable and very clean. Tea and coffee facilities available in all rooms. Ensuite shower rooms available with clean towels and heated towel rail. The car park was very small but secure. All in all an excellent b&b.
