Great welcome and well informed staff showing us the quickest route to the venue and friendly rather than going through the motions. Nice view of lake at the rear of the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Well located hotel, 2 min in cab from train station, 2 min walk from ASDA which was especially helpful for us as we were using it as a night's accommodation before travelling back to Ulverston and starting the Cumbria Way walk the next day. Quieter than I anticipated. nice reservoir in the grounds.

No restuarant on site, but they did breakfast boxes. We'd sorted our own though.

Domnio's pizza in the car park! Seriously.

Knew the Lodge had been recently referbed. and the décor. confirmed as such. Altho near the main road we heard very little noise of traffic at all!
Our room overlooked the large pond at the rear and it was a delight to see all the wild birds there. IF you don't like to hear 'Honking' geese get a room at the front.
Needs a big signpost for the Lodge out on the main road or even one as well, further back up the main road. (Look for the Fire Brigade 'traffic lights' ' )

Too hot in the rooms, too noisy from the parking lot and nearby road when you open the window. Beds quite uncomfortable, with no way on making them better. Big minus is no restaurant on site and the breakfast box offer is a joke - we made shopping in nearby asda for our breakfast. Rooms tidy, but not excepionally clean - here and there could do with some more scrubbing;) Bearable, but just.
A massive plus for the hotel was the friendly staff witch compasate for the poor quality of the hotel.
But welll - it is cheap. It should be only considered if the Premier Inn is not available (as it was in our case).

Room Tip: All rooms to Travelodge standard - not decorated, with minimum comfort. Doesn't matter if it'...

Booked this hotel on the spur of the minute, on Thursday for a Saturday stay. Easy booking and finding the hotel. Was met by the receptionist who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Hotel was quite didn't hear any noise during the night either inside or outside the hotel. Well situated for all Barrow shopping and sightseeing. Overall a very pleasant experience.

We stayed at the travelodge on Bank Holiday Monday for a reasonable price, arriving at lunchtime .We were told the room was not ready...fair enough we were early, so went for a browse round the lake that the receptionist had recommended to us . Wouldn't bother litter strewn mess.Arriving in our family room, first impressions good until my child found wotsits under the bed hardly a good standard.Noise at night and early in morning meant no sleep at all.And bed was like a concrete slab with pillows to match.Breakfast over priced go to Asda.cheaper and better value for money. Would book premier Inn next time looked a much better venue.

We hope our guests have a comfortable stay with us so it is really regrettable to learn that you were dissatisfied with the cleanliness of your room doopsy. We expect our staff to follow a strict routine in the cleaning of our rooms and we would expect them to be cleaned to our high standards. In order to prevent any disruptions to our customers’ stay, we also require a night staff member to patrol the hotel at night to ensure that a respectable level of noise from our other guests is maintained. We also regularly check the mattresses and, if one is not found to be in a suitable condition then it should be replaced. We are sorry for the experience you had with us and would like to investigate the concerns that you have raised. Please could you visit our website and select the Contact Us button to tell us more and when doing so please indicate you have left a TripAdvisor review.
