I'm writing this review nearly seven months after the five-day stay at Yeotown. The entire accommodation and surroundings, the food, the service, the arranged activities: all were superb: I stayed in one of the eco-suites: a bit more expensive, but very relaxing. I had great sleep when I was there. I wouldn't be your regular hiker, so I found the hiking a bit tougher than most. But the leaders made great allowances for that and their encouragement kept me going. And the Devon coastal scenery where we walked was beautiful. The morning yoga was lovely. The different evening massage treatments were varied and wonderful and the sauna was wonderful too. But the biggest difference for me was this: what I learned there changed me and changed my way of eating in terms of the range of food and also in terms of nutrition. While they don't claim that anyone will loose weight, I had weight to loose and I actually lost five pounds and (more importantly) have continued to loose the pounds slowly ever since through what I learned about diet. I never realised I was addicted to sugar, nor did I realise that I would do better to avoid dairy foods. Yes, there is wi-fi, but I would agree with them there and suggest leaving the digital world behind when you go there. Also, because I wouldn't be the most active person in the world, I had to spend...I'm writing this review nearly seven months after the five-day stay at Yeotown. Also, because I wouldn't be the most active person in the world, I had to spend a bit on boots (though I think walking trainers would have done) and other outdoor gear. I didn't regret it though; it's all been useful since. Maybe bring walking poles with you. I hope to go back, maybe in 2019 or 2020.More
