“Excellent acommodation in a lovely location”
Reviewed 20 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

We had previously stayed at Combrew Farm 2 years earlier and had been impressed with the standard of the acommodation and on site facilities.
Tuckers Retreat again met the high standards that we had previously experienced.
This time we had our 9 month old sprocker spaniel with us and he thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay..The location is ideal, a genuine 5 minutes drive from Barnstaple with the nearest beach, Instow, 10 minutes away. I highly recommend this accomodation, we liked it so much we have booked again for 2019

“Fabulous Place to Stay”
Reviewed 1 April 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Wonderful Place to stay. Warm welcome on arrival from Sue who is on hand for advice etc if needed.
Cottage warm comfortable a real home from home. Onsite facilities great and the indoor pool was a huge bonus on a very cold snowy weekend.
Fabulous location plenty to see and do locally for all ages.
We will definitely be back.

“Lovely Cosy Cottage”
Reviewed 24 January 2018 for a stay in January 2018

This cottage was ideal for us in every respect. We were in Devon for our son's wedding at Millbrook which is just 30 minutes away, but it's also ideally situated to visit lots of places of interest plus it's dog-friendly. We had a wonderful relaxing time and it's good to have the facilities on hand in case of bad weather - We were lucky however and able to get out every day. We liked having a log burner in the lounge and also a TV in the bedroom. We would definitely recommend staying at Combrew Farm and would like to come back ourselves. Thank you Sue & John for a great holiday!

“A little bit of heaven in Devon!”
Reviewed 23 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Think this was our eighth or ninth visit but our first to this cottage, which we found to be just as enjoyable as Barn Owl and Rose Cottage. Warm, comfortable, spacious accommodation and so much to do. Love the swimming pool - always so warm to slip into, the various games and the proximity to Instow beach (fabulous), Woolacombe (also fabulous) and Fremington Quay which is just across the road. We love that we can bring our dogs and they enjoy the beaches and walks as much as we do. The local Chinese is great, and the fish and chips not bad. Lovely food at Fremington. The welcome pack in the cottage is appreciated as is the warm welcome from Sue and John the owners. Have no doubt we will be back again next year. Thank you for another totally relaxing break.

“A Little bit of Heaven”
Reviewed 29 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The cottage Tuckers Retreat was everything we had hoped for and more. Very pretty entrance to property bedding plants still in full bloom, Sue very welcoming showed us round and explained how things worked, heating, wood burner etc. Lovely kitchen nicely laid out dishwasher, microwave, gas cooker and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, definitely home from home. Very comfortable lounge with settee and armchair plus 42" tv. Just inside front door small room with washer/ drier, coat hooks and room for boots/ shoes etc. Upstairs main bedroom with four poster bed and ensuite, also twin room and separate bathroom all high spec. Although we didn't use the sports room or pool it was there if we wanted to.We did feed the goats which are very friendly. We would recommend Han Court the Chinese restaurant in Fremington also the New Inn excellent value for money as is the Fish and Chip shop, The Wayfairer Inn at Instow was also good. We went to Atlantic Village a retail shopping outlets which is near the Big Sheep. There is plenty to do in the area so ideal if you have children. I would highly recommend Combrew Farm Cottages. We hope to visit again in the future.
