We have stayed at 2 other hotels in the group and have always been very satisfied. Our stay at The Imperial was no different. Lovely staff, great food, good, clean, well decorated room and very comfortable, cosy lounge. When booking in I happened to mention it was our wedding anniversary. When we went down for dinner there was an envelope on our table. I opened it to find an anniversary card inside from the hotel staff, how thoughtful.

Thank you for your review of The Imperial Hotel. I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us on this occasion and previously at two of our sister hotels. Your review has been placed on our 'review board' for all of our hard working staff to read. I hope to welcome you back to a Brend Hotel again in the near future.

First visit to a Brend Hotel and found it to be a perfect one! Room was best quality with price to match but gave space, comfort and all necessary amenities. Food was of the best quality, beautifully cooked and delightfully presented. Restaurant staff excellent under the superb control of Elliot. For that special occasion the perfect location!

Room Tip: first floor rooms with a river view, highest price but worth the money.

The hotel is in a excellent location and within easy reach of local town and nightlife. The breakfast was really nice and staff were very friendly. The leisure centre at sister hotel The barnstaple has a lovely gym and pool area nice place for a relaxing few hours.
The rooms were a good size and very clean and tidy.

We have stayed at this hotel maybe ten or twelve times over the past few years and always have been highly satisfied with its attitude towards guests. We assume the staff are carefully chosen such is the friendly service they give - particularly in the restaurant which is first class. I am impressed by the way my dietary requirements are anticipated in advance. Thoroughly recommend this hotel

Once again I have spoilt my wife by spending a weekend at this hotel. Our favorite room is 101 which is a double aspect room overlooking the river and town square. A bowl of fruit and chocolates in the room ready to spoil her. Excellent food in the restaurant and wonderful staff available at all times.

Room Tip: Go for room 101 if it is available; we were disapointed on a previous visit when 101 was not available and we had 109 where the bathroom is small.
